Pallets of pre-cut Quick Ship rubber rolls stocked at a FlooringInc regional warehouse

Quick Ship Pre-Cut is FlooringInc's fastest rubber flooring roll program: four thicknesses and the highest-volume colors held in regional stock at six U.S. warehouses, shipping in 1-3 business days for 8mm and 3-5 days for 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" from the warehouse closest to each buyer's ZIP. After 18+ years selling rubber flooring and 500M+ square feet of flooring delivered, this is how we deliver the most-ordered subset of our Traxxon catalog faster than any custom-cut program can.

What "Quick Ship" actually means

Pre-Cut rolled rubber flooring comes off the warehouse floor. Custom-cut rolls go through a cutting line. That single difference is the entire story.

A custom-cut rubber roll gets queued at a cutting station, cut to your exact length, palletized, and routed to a carrier. That process takes a few extra business days. Sometimes more at peak demand. There's nothing wrong with it. It's how every flooring retailer handles non-standard cuts. The lead time is just real.

A Pre-Cut roll is already cut to a stocked length, palletized, and waiting. When your order hits the system, the warehouse picks the pallet and books the carrier. No cutting queue. No production wait. The roll moves the same day or the next.

The rubber inside the package is identical to what the full Traxxon line ships. Same compound, same density, same construction, same warranty terms. We didn't make a new product. We took the four thicknesses and four colors that move the most volume, stocked them in standard lengths, and put them on the warehouse floor ready to ship.

Where our rubber flooring rolls ship from: six warehouses, four U.S. regions

Map of FlooringInc's four U.S. regional warehouse zones for Quick Ship rubber rolls

Your roll ships from the warehouse closest to your ZIP. That's the rule. Faster transit. Lower freight. Fewer surprises at checkout.

We stock Pre-Cut rubber rolls at six regional warehouses across four U.S. regions. West, Midwest, Northeast, and South. When you order a Quick Ship roll, the system routes the order to whichever stocking location can get the roll to you fastest and cheapest. FlooringInc is the only national online flooring retailer running a four-region Quick Ship Pre-Cut rubber stocking program.

Region What it covers Why it matters for you
West AK, AZ, CA, CO, HI, ID, MT, NM, NV, OR, UT, WA, WY Phoenix, Denver, LA, Seattle buyers get rolls from a West Coast pallet, not one shipped cross-country.
Midwest AR, IA, IL, IN, KS, MI, MN, MO, ND, NE, OK, SD, TX, WI Chicago, Dallas, Minneapolis buyers ship from a Midwest warehouse instead of either coast.
Northeast CT, DC, DE, MA, MD, ME, NH, NJ, NY, OH, PA, RI, VT, WV NYC, Boston, Philly, Cleveland buyers ship from Pennsylvania, not Arizona.
South AL, FL, GA, KY, LA, MS, NC, SC, TN, VA Atlanta, Nashville, Tampa, Charlotte buyers ship from a Southeast stocking location.

Cross-country freight can get expensive, especially on LTL pallet shipments. The bigger the order, the more regional fulfillment saves. A multi-pallet commercial buyer in Atlanta pulling from a Southeast warehouse pays less and waits less than the same order shipped from Phoenix. The home gym buyer ordering a single roll feels it too, just in smaller absolute dollars.

This is the part of the Quick Ship story most flooring retailers can't tell. Single-warehouse sellers ship every order from the same dock, no matter where you are. We don't.

What's in stock right now

Side-by-side scale comparison of 1/4 inch, 8mm, 3/8 inch, and 1/2 inch Quick Ship rubber thicknesses with a US quarter for scale reference
Thickness 4'x10' 4'x15' 4'x25' 4'x50'
1/4" Pre-Cut Tough Yes Yes Yes Yes
8mm Pre-Cut Strong Yes Yes Yes Yes
3/8" Pre-Cut Heavy Duty Yes Yes Yes Yes
1/2" Pre-Cut Mega Custom only Yes Yes Yes

The 1/2" Pre-Cut Mega starts at 4'x15'. If you need a 10-foot run in 1/2", custom-cut handles that. Every other thickness ships Pre-Cut in all four standard lengths.

Colors at launch vary by thickness. We stocked what moves at each weight.

8mm Pre-Cut Strong ships in three colors:

  • Black
  • 10% Gray fleck
  • 10% Baby Blue fleck

1/4" Pre-Cut Tough, 3/8" Pre-Cut Heavy Duty, and 1/2" Pre-Cut Mega ship in four colors:

  • Black
  • 10% Blue fleck
  • 10% Gray fleck
  • 10% Blue/Gray fleck

Why a tight color palette? Because if you need rubber down this weekend, a thirty-color matrix is your enemy. These four colors represent roughly 40% of every rubber roll order we've shipped in the past three years. If a different color matters more than speed, custom-cut is still wide open, and our Rubber Rolls Buying Guide walks the full palette.

Which thickness for which job

Match the thickness to the load. That's the short version.

  • 1/4" Pre-Cut Tough. Light commercial spaces, walking traffic, basement floors layered over a carpet pad. Quiet underfoot. Easier to handle in tight footprints.
  • 8mm Pre-Cut Strong. The home gym workhorse. Light-to-medium commercial. Hotel fitness rooms. Studios doing functional work without dropped barbells.
  • 3/8" Pre-Cut Heavy Duty. Serious home gym with weights. CrossFit affiliates. College weight rooms. The thickness that earns its keep when 45-pound plates hit the floor.
  • 1/2" Pre-Cut Mega. Dropped-load environments. Olympic lifting platforms. Commercial weight rooms running heavy programming all day.

This is the short version on purpose. For the full walkthrough on selection, our Rubber Rolls Buying Guide does the deep dive. That post owns the selection content. This one is about getting the rubber to your door.

How shipping actually works

Single roll usually ships parcel or light freight. Multi-roll orders go LTL freight. Either way, the freight gets calculated from the closest stocking warehouse to your address.

For shorter-length single-roll orders, you pay a flat rate at checkout. The number reflects the closest warehouse, not a national average, so two buyers in different states often see different shipping totals on the same roll. That's not a glitch. That's the regional model working.

For multi-roll or pallet orders, the cart pulls a live LTL freight quote from the closest stocking location. LTL means a freight carrier, lift-gate delivery if you need it, and curbside drop. Commercial buyers usually have a forklift or a loading dock. Home gym buyers usually want lift-gate. Both options are in checkout.

Transit time depends on the thickness. The 8mm Pre-Cut Strong ships in 1 to 3 business days from the warehouse. The 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" thicknesses ship in 3 to 5 business days. Delivery time after the roll leaves the dock depends on how far you are from the closest stocking location. Same-region orders land faster than cross-region orders.

We're being careful with these numbers because over-promising on freight is how flooring retailers lose customers. The honest answer is that freight is variable. The regional model just makes the variable smaller.

Home gym scenarios

Home garage gym with FlooringInc Quick Ship rubber rolls under a power rack

For most buyers looking at rubber flooring for a home gym, the question is "how fast can I get a floor down before Saturday training."

Garage gym, single-car footprint (around 200 sqft). One 4'x25' roll of 8mm Pre-Cut Strong covers a lifting platform plus a small accessory zone. Pre-Cut means the roll ships this week. Lay it out, let it relax overnight, and you're training on it the next morning.

Basement gym (around 400 sqft, multi-zone). Two 4'x25' rolls of 3/8" Pre-Cut Heavy Duty for the squat rack and bench zone. One 4'x25' roll of 1/4" Pre-Cut Tough for the cardio and warmup zone. Different thicknesses where they earn their keep. Same delivery window because they ship from the same regional warehouse.

Backyard shed conversion (under 150 sqft). A 4'x15' roll cuts the waste in a small footprint. You're not paying for material you'd trim off anyway.

Commercial scenarios

Commercial weight room with FlooringInc Quick Ship rubber rolls installed wall to wall

The same Quick Ship Pre-Cut rubber gym flooring rolls ship to CrossFit affiliates, hotel chains, federal facilities, and university recreation programs. For commercial buyers, the question is whether the floor will hit the install date without expedited freight blowing the budget.

Boutique fitness studio or CrossFit affiliate (1,200 to 2,500 sqft). 4'x50' rolls of 3/8" Pre-Cut Heavy Duty for the platform zones, multi-pallet LTL from the closest stocking warehouse. A contractor or facility manager can quote a hard install date because the rubber isn't sitting in a cutting queue.

Hotel fitness room (200 to 600 sqft). 4'x25' rolls of 8mm Pre-Cut Strong. Dense enough for cardio equipment, quiet enough for guests in adjacent rooms, fast enough to install during a single off-shift.

College recreation center or corporate fitness. Mixed-thickness install. 1/2" Pre-Cut Mega under the Olympic platforms. 3/8" across the free-weight zone. 8mm in the cardio and stretching areas. Quick Ship covers all four thicknesses out of the same regional warehouse network.

Contractor or GC pulling rubber for a build-out. This is the use case where Quick Ship Pre-Cut earns the most. Custom-cut rubber forces a contractor to either pad the install schedule or pay rush freight. Pre-Cut removes both problems. The roll ships on a predictable timeline, on a predictable freight cost, from a predictable location. For larger commercial builds, our commercial gym flooring guide walks through multi-zone specs and how to phase the install.

Pre-Cut vs custom-cut: when to choose what

The Quick Ship Pre-Cut line did not replace custom-cut rubber rolls. Both still exist. They solve different problems.

Choose Quick Ship Pre-Cut if... Choose custom-cut if...
Install date is in the next two weeks The job is more than three or four weeks out
A color in the launch palette works for the install You need a color outside the launch palette
Standard lengths (10, 15, 25, 50 ft) fit your space You need a specific length like 4'x37' to avoid seams
You'd rather not wait on cutting-line capacity You're matching an existing floor or precise spec

For most home gym buyers, Quick Ship Pre-Cut is the right answer. For most commercial buyers with a deadline, Quick Ship Pre-Cut is also the right answer unless the specification forces a custom dimension. If your situation is the edge case, the Rubber Rolls Buying Guide is the next stop.

FAQ

How fast do Quick Ship rubber rolls actually ship?

Ship time depends on the thickness. The 8mm Pre-Cut Strong leaves the warehouse in 1 to 3 business days. The 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" thicknesses leave in 3 to 5 business days. Delivery time after that depends on the distance between the closest stocking warehouse and your address. Same-region orders typically arrive faster than cross-region orders.

What's the difference between Pre-Cut and custom-cut?

Pre-Cut rolls are already cut to a stocked length (10, 15, 25, or 50 feet) and sitting in a regional warehouse. They ship straight from inventory. Custom-cut rolls are cut to your exact length on demand, which adds production time. The rubber inside the package is identical. Only the production step differs.

Can I get a color outside the Quick Ship Pre-Cut palette?

Not in the Quick Ship Pre-Cut line. Each thickness ships in a tight palette: 8mm Pre-Cut Strong comes in Black, 10% Gray, and 10% Baby Blue. The 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" thicknesses come in Black, 10% Blue, 10% Gray, and 10% Blue/Gray. For other colors in the full palette, custom-cut is still available across every thickness. Our Buying Guide walks the full color range.

Where do Quick Ship rolls ship from?

From the closest of six regional warehouses across the West, Midwest, Northeast, and South. The system routes your order automatically based on your shipping ZIP. You don't have to pick a warehouse; the cart does.
