Kurt Leitinger is a co-founder of FlooringInc, which began selling flooring online in 2007. Over nearly two decades he has worked directly with flooring manufacturers on product development, merchandising, logistics, and customer feedback across garage, gym, rubber, commercial, and specialty flooring.
Along the way he has helped build FlooringInc's own product lines — including Nitro garage flooring, launched in 2012 and now past 28 million square feet sold — and the tools customers use to plan their floors, like the site's floor designer. His articles draw on what happens after the sale: real installs, warranty claims, freight, and thousands of customer conversations.
