Helios

Helios is FlooringInc's own line of interlocking composite deck tiles, built from a recycled bamboo-and-composite blend and engineered to snap together over an existing deck, patio, rooftop, or concrete slab without glue, nails, or a contractor. Helios is a FlooringInc house brand, so the tiles are designed, warrantied, and stocked by the same team that ships FlooringInc's other flooring lines, not licensed in from an outside decking manufacturer.

What Helios Tiles Are Made Of

Every Helios tile pairs a slatted composite surface with an open-grid base that lets water drain straight through instead of pooling on top. That combination is what lets the tiles resist mold, mildew, and moisture buildup in wet climates, and it's why Helios holds up to sun, rain, and temperature swings without warping the way solid wood decking can. The slats carry a realistic wood-grain texture underfoot, and because the material is a manufactured composite rather than raw lumber, the tiles never need to be painted, sealed, sanded, or refinished.

Why Homeowners and Installers Choose Helios

The core selling point is the install: Helios tiles interlock edge to edge, so a full deck or patio typically comes together in an afternoon with no special tools. Several Helios lines come backed by a 20-year warranty, and the 6 Slat Composite Deck Board Tiles are rated for both residential and commercial use, which makes them a fit for anything from a backyard patio to a rooftop lounge or a light commercial walkway.

Helios covers two tile profiles, a full edging system to finish the perimeter, and one artificial-grass variant for a softer look underfoot. All of it ships from FlooringInc and installs the same interlocking way.

• Helios Deck Tiles, available in 4, 6, and 8 slat widths, are the standard composite tile for open patios, decks, and rooftops. Browse the full lineup under composite decking.
• Helios Composite Deck Board Tiles use a wider board profile with a more pronounced wood-look texture, including the 4, 6, and 8 slat sizes, with the 6 Slat rated for residential and commercial installs.
• Helios Artificial Grass Deck Tiles swap the composite surface for a soft, self-draining turf face, so you get real-grass looks on the same interlocking deck-tile base, filed under our broader outdoor flooring assortment.
• Edging and corner kits, including male and female edge pieces, double corners, and full 4-piece corner kits for both the Deck Tile and Deck Board Tile profiles, finish the border of any layout so cut edges aren't left exposed.

Helios also shows up in FlooringInc's rooftop deck flooring and outdoor pavers categories, since the same interlocking tile works over a roof membrane or paver base as easily as it does over a wood deck.

Helios is designed here, so the person who can tell you how many edge pieces a 12x16 rooftop needs works for the same company that ships them. Composite decking is bulky, and shipping full pallets of interlocking tile is the kind of freight problem FlooringInc's Tennessee warehouse and logistics team handle every day, on Helios and on the rest of the outdoor flooring catalog.

If you want to see the wood-grain texture and slat spacing before you order a full deck's worth of tile, FlooringInc's free sample program covers Helios the same way it covers the rest of the site, and our phone team can help you work out how many tiles and edge pieces a given layout needs before you check out.
