Installation
Installation Instructions:
Preparation:
- Ensure the subfloor is clean, dry, and free of dirt, dust, grease, or other foreign materials.
- Check that the subfloor is level and stable before beginning installation.
Starting the Installation:
- Begin in the front left corner of the space you are tiling.
- Ensure the female side (loops) of the tile is facing away from the edge of the installation area.
Laying the Tiles:
- Lay the first tile in the corner and align it properly.
- Continue adding tiles along the left edge and the adjacent edge, making sure each tile locks securely with its neighbor.
Filling the Space:
- Once the edges are filled, proceed to cover the rest of the space with whole tiles, working your way outward.
- Ensure each tile is securely interlocked with the adjacent tiles.
Trimming Tiles:
- When you reach a wall or an obstruction, measure the required space accurately.
- Cut the tiles to fit using a sharp utility knife, leaving a 3/4” space between the tiles and the edge or obstruction to allow for expansion.
- Place the trimmed tiles into position.
Final Steps:
- After all tiles are in place, inspect the installation for any loose tiles or misaligned edges.
- Make any necessary adjustments to ensure a smooth, secure fit.

Regular Cleaning:
Vacuuming or Sweeping:
Regularly vacuum or sweep the tiles to remove loose crumbs, dust, and debris.
Hosing Off or Damp Mopping:
- For tougher dirt or stains, hose off the tiles or damp mop with a mixture of mild soap and water.
Dealing with Hard Water Stains- Preventive Measures:
- Hard water can cause staining on the tiles. To prevent this, use distilled water for cleaning.
Vinegar Solution Cleaning:
- Prepare a cleaning solution with 2 parts vinegar to 1 gallon of distilled water.
- Pour the mixture over the tiles and scrub with a soft-bristled brush or broom.
- Rinse the tiles thoroughly with more distilled water.
- Allow the tiles to air dry completely.

How many Helios Deck Tiles do I need?
One tile per square foot. Each tile is 12" x 12" and 11.5" x 11.5" once interlocked, and covers 1 square foot. A 10 by 12 foot patio takes 120 tiles. Add about 5% for cuts along walls and around posts. Each tile weighs about 2 pounds.

Yes. The tiles sit on raised tabs, so water drains underneath instead of pooling on the surface. They are rated for outdoor use and resist mold, mildew and moisture. Pool decks, shower floors, hot tub walk-off areas, patios and entryways all work. They are heat and frost resistant, so they handle seasonal temperature swings outdoors.

No adhesive needed. The tiles interlock and lay loose, so you can take them up again. Start with a clean, dry, level and stable surface. Begin in the front left corner with the female loop side facing away from the edge. Work along two edges, then fill the middle with whole tiles, checking that each one locks to its neighbor. Cut tiles at walls with a sharp utility knife. Leave a 3/4" gap at the edges for expansion.

First off, this looks great and seems sturdy and like it will hold up to the elements. installing is a big wonky though - we have a brand new flat roof and did the border first and then went to fill in…but the pieces shift and twist a bit so it ended up slightly off so I had to redo it a couple times to make it fit just right. In the process, I discovered that there’s an easy way and a difficult way to get them to snap together - when you’re doing rows, try going left to right and right to left. One direction will be easier and the. From there you just snake the rows (RtoL the LtoR) to keep with the “easy” way. If you have an odd or large size space, continually check alignment… Definitely include 5%+ more as some times or snaps will break in transit. It’s unavoidable - so be aware Once done though it looks awesome

I purchased these for a workspace in my garage, and in the laundry room to spruce up the concrete flooring. They look great, and are flexible in case your floor isn't 100% level. The installation is extremely simple, and can be done quickly if you prepare the space. There were a few panels that were damaged during shipping, and after I uploaded the pictures to their customer service, we had the replacement panels in no time! They stand by their product and quality for sure!

These an amazing!! Totally doable by one person (and a chick no less!) you need a jigsaw or circular saw for around posts and THAT is it I didn’t think the cut tiles looked good near the house so I used PVC at the boarder which is amazing. I hope I win a prize for this review because I would do my other deck!!!!
