PlaySafe Interlocking Rubber Playground Tiles are a low maintenance playground flooring. No daily maintenance is required, however if surface cleaning is desired, recommended cleaning instructions include:
Sweeping or blowing off the rubber tiles to remove any loose dirt, leaves, or other debris from the surface when necessary.
If something wet or sticky is spilled on the surface such as drinks or ice cream, it is best to clean up the area with a water hose, mop, or a damp cloth.
Occasional damp mopping of the playground tiles with a mild soap and water solution and disinfecting of the tiles with a diluted bleach & water or alcohol & water solution can be useful to help prevent the transmission of germs or viruses. A few recommended soaps are Dawn dish detergent or Tide laundry detergent.
Please Note: Do not use any solvent or oil style cleaners such as Pinesol, Lysol, Murphy’s Oil Soap, WD40, paint thinner, etc. since these types of cleaners will break down the rubber playground surface over time.
Our Playsafe Interlocking Playground Tiles can be installed over flat, packed dirt or gravel.
We recommend using adhesive under the interlocking tiles since it helps to keep the tiles from being stolen and keeps the tiles from buckling. However, using an adhesive is optional, you may skip using the adhesive and go for a glue-free installation by simply interlocking the tiles.
Our PlaySafe Interlocking Playground Tiles can be trimmed with a large bread knife or with a band saw. The easiest way to cut these tiles is with a band saw.
A 10-year warranty backs our PlaySafe Interlocking Playground Tiles. This warranty covers any manufacturing defects.

You can use our PlaySafe Interlocking Playground Tiles indoors. Even though these tiles are very shock absorbent, they are not the best flooring option for a gym. To help mitigate sound and also stand up against dropping weights, we recommend using our 1-1/4" Fit Rubber Tiles, which are interlocking, or our 1" Monster Tiles.
The color will fade on our PlaySafe Interlocking Playground Tiles. The reason these colors will fade is that they are painted. We do offer fade-resistant colors of our PlaySafe Interlocking Playground Tiles in our PlaySafe Interlocking Playground Tiles - Designer Series.
Basketballs will bounce on our PlaySafe Interlocking Playground Tiles but it won't be the same bounce that you'd get on an indoor basketball court. Our PlaySafe Interlocking Playground Tiles can be used around a salt water pool slide. These tiles are made from rubber which is naturally slip-resistant and when wet becomes more slip resistant. These rubber tiles are also resistant to mold and mildew and are very easy to clean and maintain.
The Ramps for our PlaySafe Interlocking Playground Tiles do have an interlock on them. You would install the ramps the same as you would the tiles. You would use our Seam Sealer glue along the groove to ensure a tight, strong bond.

You can drive a car on our Jamboree Playground Tiles. These tiles are durable enough to handle the weight of a car. The only thing you will want to be mindful of is if your car drips oil. Oil over time can cause the tiles to breakdown. When driving on these tiles, you don't have to realign when turning your wheels.

PlaySafe Interlocking Playground Tiles are not porous so water will flow off the top towards the drain. The base should have a 1-2% slope.
