Installation
Installation Instructions for Grid-Loc Vented Series Tiles:
Step 1: Prepare the Subfloor
- Ensure the garage floor is clean, dry, and free from dust, dirt, and debris.
- Sweep or vacuum the surface to remove any loose particles.
Step 2: Plan the Layout
- Measure the area to be covered and decide on the tile layout, starting from a corner or the center.
- Leave a 1/2" gap between the tiles and walls or fixed objects to allow for natural expansion.
Step 3: Snap the Tiles Together
- Align the edges of each tile and snap them together using the hidden interlocking system.
- Continue connecting the tiles until the entire floor is covered.
- If necessary, trim the tiles using a utility knife to fit around corners, walls, or obstacles.
Step 4: Final Adjustments
- Once the installation is complete, add edge pieces for a polished, professional look.
- Ensure all tiles are securely snapped into place.
Step 5: Avoid Car Jack Damage
- These tiles are not car jack approved. To prevent damage, always place your car jack directly on the concrete floor or use a plywood board or steel plate underneath the jack.
Care & Maintenance
Care and Maintenance for Grid-Loc Vented Series Tiles:
Regular Cleaning:
- Sweep or vacuum regularly to remove dust, dirt, and debris from the tiles.
- The vented design allows for easy drainage, so you can hose down the tiles for a deeper clean.
- For tougher dirt or grime, damp mop the tiles using a mild soap and water mixture, such as Dawn dish detergent or Tide laundry detergent.
Spill Management:
- The vented tiles resist oil, grease, antifreeze, and other household chemicals, but it's still best to clean up spills promptly to maintain cleanliness and avoid any buildup.
Handling Stains:
- While these tiles are stain-resistant, promptly wiping up any spills will help preserve the appearance of your floor.
Tile Replacement:
- In case of any damage to a tile, snap out the affected tile and replace it with a new one.

Can these be easily unsnapped to be removed to clean underneath? We have a wet basement, so I want to potentially be able to remove them to dry both the tiles and the concrete floor during the wet season. Thanks!

Was this helpful?I want to know if any of your floor tiles would not be affected by the sun from buckling. I live in Florida, and I get sun from 2 PM till sunset, and I am worried about the floor buckling from the sun.
Our Vented Grid-Loc Tiles will not buckle to do disparate heat within your garage. Since these tiles are vented, there is less material for the sun to heat up. Also, those vents help keep the material from heating up as quickly as a solid tile. Vented tiles are our recommendation for East, South, or West-facing garages.

After two failed attempts at store bought epoxy while living in my last house, I told myself "it'll be tiles the next time around". Well, I ordered my tiles just prior to closing on our new home in Nov. 2015. Buying process and delivery were very easy. Prior to moving all our stuff in, I painted the garage and my son and I installed the flooring. I also laid a layer of landscape fabric down so when looking at the vented tile, you see black rather than the ugly concrete below. The two-car garage and the 3rd bay (workshop) took just over an hour and 30 minutes to complete. Fast forward to May 2018 (time of this review), my floor has held up to everything I've thrown at it and neighbors/friends consistently complement the look. The car side has the vented and diamond tiles, while the workshop has a solid floor of diamond tiles. I honestly don't have zero complaints and I'm still very pleased with my purchase. If you have been on the fence, go ahead and do it. You won't regret it. Pros: -Looks great -Good pricing/fast free shipping -Easy to install -Easy replacement should you damage a tile -Easy to clean Cons: - The only thing I can think of is you cannot use a jack stand or car jack directly on the tiles (I use a small piece of plywood to disperse the weight and have had zero issues)

Wish that I knew about this sooner! I spent thousands of dollars on an epoxy coating only to realize it doesn't last that long and isn't that visually appealing. The grid-loc tiles are super easy to install (just need a hammer and a tile cutter), easy to replace, and easy to clean with just water + hoover. No scratches anywhere even after heavy use and driving the car over the floor, and you can go wild with your favourite patterns! A+++
