Recommended Uses â€“ Nitro Tiles are the perfect multi-use floor tile for any home or commercial business. Use them as flooring for garages, basements, trade show booths, dealership showrooms, as flooring in storage sheds, in workshops, as car show display flooring, and much more.
Please Note:
  • These tiles can be damaged under the weight of a car jack. We recommend using your car jack directly on concrete or place a plywood board or steel plate under the jack.
  • If your garage gets a lot of sun, we recommend placing vented tiles at the entrance to provide added stability to the floor.
  • Nitro Tile colors are produced in batches, which can lead to color variations in your order and affect color variation between samples and your order. All colors may present some color variation, and graphite and gunmetal can produce the most. These colors can vary greatly between batches, and we recommend that you order more flooring than needed for mistakes and replacements. This will give you the greatest chance to keep continuity across your floor.

Installation Instructions for Nitro Tiles

Preparation:

Ensure the subfloor is clean, dry, and free of debris. If installing over concrete, make sure it is cured (at least 30 days old) and dry.

    Layout:

Plan the layout of the tiles before installation. Starting from the center of the room and working outwards will help achieve a balanced look.

      Cutting Tiles:

Use a utility knife to cut tiles to fit around edges and corners. Measure carefully to ensure a precise fit.

      Installation:

Place the tiles snugly against each other without gaps. Nitro Tiles are designed to interlock securely, so no adhesives are needed.

For areas where tiles might shift, consider using double-sided tape along the perimeter.

      Finishing Touches:

After installation, walk over the tiles to ensure they are properly locked into place.

        Note:

Nitro Tiles perform well as a floating floor when installed wall to wall. For smaller areas that don’t extend wall to wall, we recommend using adhesive or a rubber underlayment to help keep the tiles securely in place.

Care and Maintenance for Nitro Tiles

        Regular Cleaning:

        • Sweep or vacuum the tiles regularly to remove loose crumbs, dust, or debris.
        • Occasionally damp mop the tiles with a mild soap and water mixture. Common soaps include Dawn dish detergent or Tide laundry detergent.

        Stain Management:

        • Nitro Tiles are not stain-proof. Street tar can stain light-colored tiles but can typically be removed with a cleaner like Purple Power.
        • Performance tires can also stain light-colored tiles. For tire marks, consider replacing the affected tiles or using darker tiles to disguise the stains. If stains persist, contact Customer Service at 800-613-0996 for assistance.

        Avoid Damage:

        • These tiles can be damaged under the weight of a car jack. Use your car jack directly on concrete or place a plywood board or steel plate under the jack.
        • If your garage receives a lot of sunlight, consider placing vented tiles at the entrance for added stability.

        Color Variations:

        • Nitro tile colors are produced in batches, leading to potential color variations between orders. It is advisable to order extra tiles to maintain continuity across your flooring.

        General Tips:

        • Regularly inspect the tiles for signs of wear or damage.
        • Address spills promptly to prevent staining.
        Limited Lifetime.

The main differences between our Nitro Tiles and our Diamond Grid-Loc Tiles are the pattern on the tile and the thickness. The thickness of our Nitro Tiles is 3/8," and our Diamond Grid-Loc Tiles are 1/2" thick. Other than those major differences, they interlock similarly and are made from the same type of material.

The only way to remove a Nitro Tile from the middle of a floor, you will need to remove the tiles around it. Typically you will want to try and lift up the tiles that would be in the same row as the damaged tile either horizontally or vertically. You will then remove the damaged tiles and then re-install the tiles that were removed.

Our most slip-resistant pattern would be the vented pattern in our Nitro Tiles. After that our Diamond and Coin patterns would be the next most slip-resistant. When dry, our smooth pattern is slip resistant, but when there is liquid on the surface, it will become a slip hazard.
