Details

Installing our Premium Interlocking Rooftop Deck Tiles is very easy. Follow these simple steps for a successful installation:

  1. Ensure that the subfloor is clean, dry, and free of any debris, oil, or grease.
  2. Lay the corner and border tiles along the adjacent walls starting at one corner of the installation area.
  3. Continue to lay the interlocking tiles in the center of the installation area, including corner and border tiles, as needed.
  4. Once the open floor is covered, measure and cut the tiles to fit the remaining edges of the room. We recommend leaving a gap along the walls roughly the thickness of the tiles being used to account for expansion and contraction in different temperatures.
  5. If desired, secure the tiles in place using double-sided tape or mat tape around the installation's perimeter to prevent movement.

Premium Interlocking Rooftop Deck Tiles are very low maintenance and easy to keep clean. Here are some basic maintenance tips:
  • Sweep the surface of the rubber tile with a stiff outdoor bristle broom when necessary to remove any debris or dirt.
  • Spray or hose off the tiles with clean water as needed to remove any dirt or grime.
  • Vacuum the surface of the rubber flooring with a shop vac if needed.
  • If the tiles become stained, use a mild soap and water solution and gently scrub the tiles with a soft nylon bristle brush or mop.
Note: Do not use any solvent or oil-based cleaners such as Pinesol, Lysol, Murphy’s Oil Soap, WD40, paint thinner, etc. as these can break down the flooring over time.

Damaging our Interlocking Deck Top Roof Tiles is pretty difficult, but if one tile were to become damaged, replacing one is pretty simple. We recommend using our seam sealer glue at the interlock of the tiles to prevent the tiles from buckling and also to prevent theft. To replace the tile, all you would need to do is cut the glue keeping the tiles together if glued and then remove the damaged tile. Once removed, you can replace the tile with a new one and can reapply glue if needed or desired...

Since rubber melts at about 356 degrees Fahrenheit, a cigarette butt won't do much to the tiles. These tiles are very durable and won't be scratched easily. It's even pretty tough to cut these tiles with a sharp knife, so there would be no concern with that there. These rubber tiles have a lifetime warranty, so honestly, they will last for as long as you own them. To truly see and feel the durability of these tiles we recommend ordering a sample of the tiles.
