Installation
- First, clean your subfloor so that it is free of all dust, dirt, and debris.
- Loose lay your rolls in the room as you would like them to look after a complete installation. Let the rolls relax for 24-48 hours to ensure the proper installation of your new flooring.
- Note: Rolls may be directional, so make sure the color matches on each roll. If the roll colors do not match, flip them or turn them 180 degrees to ensure the color matches.
- Make any necessary cuts to the rolls to fit them into the room using a straight edge and a utility knife with a fresh blade. We recommend leaving a gap around the rolls roughly the thickness of the rolls being used to account for expansion and contraction.
- Roll up the rolls at one end of the room. Apply double-sided tape to the floor along the perimeter of each roll.
- Place the rubber rolls back into position on top of the double-sided tape.
- First, clean your subfloor so that it is free of all dirt, dust, and debris. Also, when gluing your flooring down, it is recommended that the subfloor is free of any moisture.
- Loose lay your rolls in the room as you would like them to look after a complete installation. Let the rolls relax for 24-48 hours to ensure the proper installation of your new flooring.
- Note: Rolls may be directional, so make sure the color matches on each roll. If the roll colors do not match, flip them or turn them 180 degrees to ensure the color matches.
- Make any necessary cuts to the rolls to fit them into the room using a straight edge and a utility knife with a fresh blade. We recommend leaving a gap around the rolls roughly the thickness of the rolls being used to account for expansion and contraction.
- Roll up the rolls at one end of the room. Spread a light layer of polyurethane adhesive that is specifically designed for rubber flooring onto the subfloor using a trowel with a notched edge.
- Place the rubber rolls back into position on top of the adhesive.
Care & Maintenance
- Vacuum any loose dust, dirt, or debris from the surface of the rubber flooring as necessary.
- Occasionally damp mop the rolls with a mild soap and water mixture. We recommend using Dawn dish detergent or Tide laundry detergent for the best results.

Can this be installed over a nice hardwood floor and then when removed not damage the hardw?ood floor underneath. Wanting to use in a spare bedroom that dogs are kept in when not at home.
Our 8mm Strong Rubber Rolls - Designer Series can be installed over hardwood flooring without damaging it and can be easily removed when not in use.

Our 8mm Strong Rubber Rolls - Designer Series can be installed over an outdoor wooden deck. They are semi-porous, so some water may seep through, but this will help to diminish the amount of water seeping through greatly. To truly make this a water-resistant flooring surface, we recommend using our floor finish and sealer and using seam sealer glue at the seams of the rolls. This will ensure no water flows through.

You can install our 8mm Strong Rubber Rolls - Designer Series over low pile carpet very easily. This would protect your carpet and would allow you to work out as hard as your heart desires.
Was this helpful?If 8mm is somewhat porous if used in a kitchen will it absorb fluids/spills or if you clean the spill up quickly will it still leave stain spots. Like a glass of red wine, spaghetti sauce, mustard spot, etc. You know those very stainable type things you find in any kitchen.
If you spill any liquids on our 8mm Strong Rubber Rolls - Designer Series the liquid would sit on top of the flooring for a period. If you were to spill say red wine or spaghetti sauce, they would not stain the flooring. One thing you may notice with more solid substances, like spaghetti sauce, is that as you clean them up, there is potential for the sauce to get caught in the pores. When using our rubber flooring in a kitchen environment, we would recommend sealing the floor with our Rubber Floor Finish and Sealer to truly prevent any foreign substances getting in the pores of the floor. Also, sealing the flooring would make it much easier to clean.

- 4 out of 5 starsExpanding a basement room with existing rubber flooring.
I bought 5 - 22" rolls of Designer Tan 20% to expand a basement room that had the same flooring that was bought 5 years ago. The pattern matched very well. The only problem was that the old flooring was approximately 1/2" wider than the new. This made matching up difficult and created gaps that couldn't be fixed. 2 of the roll ends were not square and had to be cut using a drywall square. Other than this unique situation, the flooring is a great option for a workout room.

The designer rubber flooring roll product isn't bad, it just smells bad. We have mopped it twice and will continue to mop. It also has a greasy residue to it that rubs off on anything it touches. Would I order it again, probably not. Would rather spend a little more for vulcanized rubber verses any product that contained recycled rubber.

Great product - bought 3 4ft wide x 15ft long rolls and installed them on top of porcelain tile floor without glue or any tape. The product is heavy enough to keep in place without any glue or tape and I did cut them down to ~12 feet long and kept it as close to each wall as possible.
