Installation
When installing rolled rubber flooring, it is important to choose the right installation method for your project. The most common methods of adhering rubber rolls to the subfloor are:
A: Double-Sided Tape Installation
- Ensure that the subfloor is clean, dry, and free of any debris.
- Loosely lay the rubber rolls in the room to achieve your desired layout. Allow the rolls to relax for 24-48 hours to ensure proper installation.
- Note: Rolls may be directional, so make sure the color matches on each roll. If the roll colors do not match, flip them or turn them 180 degrees to ensure the color matches.
- Cut the rubber rolls to fit the room using a straight edge and a utility knife with a fresh blade. Leave a gap around the perimeter roughly the thickness of the rolls being used to account for expansion and contraction.
- Roll up the rubber rolls at one end of the room. Apply double-sided tape to the subfloor along the perimeter of each roll.
- Place the rubber rolls back into position on top of the double-sided tape.
B: Glue Installation
- Ensure that the subfloor is clean, dry, and free of any debris or moisture.
- Loosely lay the rubber rolls in the room to achieve your desired layout. Allow the rolls to relax for 24-48 hours to ensure proper installation.
- Note: Rolls may be directional, so make sure the color matches on each roll. If the roll colors do not match, flip them or turn them 180 degrees to ensure the color matches.
- Cut the rubber rolls to fit the room using a straight edge and a utility knife with a fresh blade. Leave a gap around the perimeter roughly the thickness of the rolls being used to account for expansion and contraction.
- Roll up the rubber rolls at one end of the room. Spread a light layer of polyurethane adhesive that is 10 feet long (maximum) and unroll the flooring into the adhesive 10 feet at a time.
- Repeat step 5 for every 10 feet of roll length until the entire roll has been unrolled into its desired position.
- After all of the rolls have been glued down, it is recommended to use a 100-pound roller on the floor to guarantee good adherence to the subfloor. If a roller is not available, walking on the flooring in small choppy steps may also work.
Care & Maintenance
Keeping your Rubber Rolls clean and looking their best is easy with these simple maintenance tips:
- Sweep or vacuum loose debris regularly to prevent buildup and minimize the risk of slips and falls.
- For a deeper clean, simply damp mop the rubber rolls with a mild soap and water solution. We recommend using Dawn dish detergent or Tide laundry detergent.
- Do not use any solvent or oil-based cleaners like Pinesol, Lysol, Murphy's Oil Soap, WD40, paint thinner, or similar products. These cleaners can break down the flooring over time and cause damage.

The only difference between our 3/8" Pre-Cut Heavy Duty Rubber Rolls and our 3/8" Heavy Duty Rubber Rolls is that the Pre-Cut Rolls only come in select sizes. They are 10', 15', 25', and 50'. Our standard product can be ordered in any size with the minimum cut being 15'. Our Pre-Cut Rubber Rolls also ship faster with lead times of 1-3 business days.
Was this helpful?Considering the 3/8" Heavy Duty roll: is there any functional difference between the solid black and the 10% color fleck? For instance, density/shock-absorbency for plyometrics?
There is no difference between our Black colored rubber and our 10% colored rubber. They have the same density, shock-absorbency, and can be used for the same purposes. The color is just added for aesthetic purposes.
Was this helpful?Can this flooring be used outdoors? I am looking for a rubber flooring that is easy to clean to put outside our RV as a type of rug. I have small children, so I wanted something with a little padding they could sit on and play.
Our 3/8" Pre Cut Heavy Duty Rubber Rolls can be used outdoors as a rug for an RV. These rubber rolls are very slip-resistant and are even more slip-resistant when wet. These rolls are very easy to clean and maintain and are resistant to mold and mildew growth. Even though our rubber flooring is weather-resistant, these rubber rolls will fade in direct sunlight over time.

Rubber floor rolls are exactly as advertised. Great product and works and looks great in our home gym. The ends of the rolls aren't always cut straight but super easy to fix. All you need is a straight edge and a utility knife! In my experience the rolls came slightly longer (few inches) to allow for trimming to length with a squared edge.

This is a great product, it came exactly as expected, quality wise. We had chosen 4x10 rolls (rather than longer rolls) because they would be lighter easier to get into the basement, but they shipped with two of them in a roll, defeating this purpose entirely. Not included in my rating: Working with the delivery folks was a nightmare. they never contacted me, as the instructions said they would, I had to contact them. And then the y scheduled a full day window for it to show up, which would be okay, but it didn't show up that day, but instead the next afternoon (after calling again). They didn't seem to see how this was an issue, even though someone had to be home to sign for it and that disrupts work schedules.
