Installation
Installing your Rubber Flooring Tiles is a breeze! Here's how:
Start by cleaning your subfloor to ensure it's free of all dirt, grease, or debris.
Begin in one corner of the room by creating a corner tile (cutting off tabs where necessary) and add border tiles (create straight-edge border tiles by cutting off tabs where necessary) outward along the adjacent walls.
Leave the other two edges of the room open and fill in the rest of the room, adding tiles as needed.
Once the open floor is covered, go back and cut in tiles along the opposite walls in the room. We recommend leaving a gap along the walls roughly equal to the thickness of the tiles to account for floor expansion and contraction in varied temperature ranges.
Note: Adhesives are usually not necessary when piecing interlocking tiles together since the weight of the product is typically enough to keep them from moving. However, if you experience movement and want to ensure the tiles don't slide at all, you can use double-sided tape or mat tape around the perimeter of the installation to prevent any movement.
Care & Maintenance
Keep your Rubber Flooring Tiles looking fresh and clean with these easy maintenance tips:
- Regularly sweep or vacuum loose debris and dust from the surface.
- For a deeper clean, damp mop the tiles using a mild soap and water solution. We recommend using Dawn dish detergent or Tide laundry detergent.
- Avoid using solvent or oil-based cleaners such as Pinesol, Lysol, Murphy’s Oil Soap, WD40, paint thinner, etc. These types of cleaners can break down the flooring over time.
- Do not use abrasive cleaning tools such as steel wool or scrub brushes as they can damage the surface of the tiles.

How many Goliath XL tiles do I need?
Each tile measures 47" x 47" and covers about 15 square feet once interlocked. A 300-square-foot room takes about 20 tiles before edge cuts. Order a few extra, because tiles along the walls get trimmed to fit. Tiles are sold individually with no minimum quantity.

It means every tile has interlocking tabs on all four sides. There are no separate border or corner pieces to buy. To finish at a wall, cut the tabs off that side. A corner tile gets the tabs cut off two sides. Start in one corner and run border tiles along two adjacent walls. Fill the open floor, then cut in the tiles along the last two walls. Leave a gap at the walls about as wide as the tile is thick.

It depends on thickness. Each 47" x 47" tile weighs about 25 pounds at 1/4", 30 pounds at 8mm, and 34 pounds at 3/8". The 1/2" tile is about 46 pounds and the 3/4" tile about 62 pounds. That weight is what holds the floor in place without adhesive. It also makes the thicker tiles a two-person lift. Check that the path from the truck to the room is clear.

Usually not. The interlocking tabs and the weight of the tiles hold the floor in place. If you see movement, run double-sided tape or mat tape around the perimeter of the installation.

I’ve order twice now! Great products. I will say the communication for delivery is not great. Both times now the delivery showed up unexpectedly. Once the order is processed and “shipped” I’d ensure to actively check the tracking!
