Description - Finally, one of our most popular low cost rubber floors is now available in custom cut sizing. Our Eco-Flec rolls are the perfect shock absorbing rubber flooring option for any home or commercial gym. These rolls are 4' wide and can be ordered in any whole foot increment about 15'. These rubber rolls are backed by a 5-year warranty.
Material – Reground rubber that is made from the post industrial recycled rubber created during the production of our standard rubber products and recycled white wall car tires.
Width – 4 feet.
Length – The rolls are custom cut to your desired length free of charge provided that each roll length is 15’ long or longer and in whole foot increments such as 15’, 16’, 17’, etc. You will normally receive an extra few inches on each roll. This allows for a quick and easy installation.
Thickness – Available in:
  • 1/8" - For use in light duty areas as an anti slip flooring (not recommended for gyms).
  • 1/4" - For use in home gyms and exercise rooms.
  • 8mm - For use in both home gyms and commercial gyms.
  • 3/8" - For use in commercial gyms and weight rooms.
  • 1/2" - For use as heavy duty rubber flooring in power lifting or olympic training gyms.
Color – Available in a white color fleck pattern. (Note: this flooring is made entirely from the post industrial recycled rubber that is naturally made during the production of our standard rubber flooring products. Due to this, color density and variation can exist in the flooring depending on what kind of colors and products we are running on any given day. Some very small amounts of random color flecks may also be present.)
Weight - See below:
  • 1/8" thick rolls = 0.65 Lbs. per square foot.
  • 1/4" thick rolls = 1.27 Lbs. per square foot.
  • 8mm thick rolls = 1.70 Lbs. per square foot.
  • 3/8" thick rolls = 1.92 Lbs. per square foot.
  • 1/2" thick rolls = 2.58 Lbs. per square foot.
Recommended Uses – Our Eco-Flec Rolls are great for any home or commercial gym and are commonly used as flooring in basements, as fitness flooring, as underlayment, as flooring in walkways, and anywhere a non-slip flooring option is desired.
  • Eco-Flec rolled rubber flooring typically ships within 5-7 business days and deliver within 7-12 business days depending on your location.
  • An email will automatically be sent to you with your tracking information as soon as your Eco friendly recycled rubber flooring ships and tracking information becomes available.
Eco-Flec flooring is easy to keep clean and maintain. Maintenance of this recycled rubber flooring surface typically includes:
  • Vacuuming any loose dust, dirt, or debris from the floor surface when necessary.
  • Occasional damp mopping of the rolled rubber with a mild soap and water mixture. Some soaps commonly used include Dawn dish detergent and/or Tide laundry detergent.
Note: Do not use any solvent or oil style cleaners such as Pinesol, Lysol, Murphy’s Oil Soap, WD40, paint thinner, etc. since these types of cleaners will break down the flooring over time.

When installing rolled rubber flooring, it is recommended that you use some kind of adhesive to prevent the rolls from moving around or sliding apart between adjacent rolls. The most common methods of adhering rubber rolls to the sub floor are:

A: Double Sided Tape Installation
  • First you will want to clean your sub floor so that it is free of all dust, dirt, and debris.
  • Loose lay your rolls in the room as you would like them to look after a complete installation. Let the rolls relax for up to 24-48 hours to ensure proper installation of your new flooring.
  • Note: Rolls may be directional so make sure the color matches on each roll. If the roll colors do not match, flip them or turn them 180 degrees to ensure color matches.
  • Make any necessary cuts to the rolls to fit them into the room using a Straight Edge and a Utility Knife with a fresh blade. We recommend leaving a gap around the rolls roughly the thickness of the rolls being used to account for expansion and contraction.
  • Apply double sided tape to perimeter of each roll.
  • Place rubber rolls back into position on top of the double sided tape.

  • B: Glue Installation
    • First clean your sub floor so that it is free of all dirt, dust and debris. Also, when gluing your flooring down, it is recommended that the sub floor is free of any moisture.
    • Roll up the rolls at one end of the room. Put down a 10 foot long light layer of polyurethane adhesive and unroll 10 of the flooring into the adhesive at a time.
    • Repeat this step for every 10 feet of roll length until the entire roll has been unrolled into it desired position.
    • After all rolls have been glued down, it is often recommended to use a 100 pound roller on the floor in order to guarantee good adherence to the sub floor. If a roller is not available, walking on the flooring in small choppy steps may also work.

Customer Questions & Answers

Don't see what you're looking for?
What exactly is the difference between the Regrind rolls and the Eco Flec rolls?
Our Eco-Flec Rolls are less dense than our Confetti colored Regrind rolls and provide added shock absorption when doing high impact exercises. Our Black Regrind Rolls are the same as our Eco-Flec rolls, just in all black. Our Confetti Regrind Rolls are for anyone looking for a low-cost commercial grade rubber floor that doesn't care about aesthetics.
Is the Eco-Flec or Regrind rubber flooring vulcanized?
Our Eco-Flec and Regrind Rubber Rolls are not vulcanized.
What is the R-value of the flooring? Does it provide any insulation?
Our Eco-Flec Rolls are made from recycled rubber. Recycled rubber has a typical R-value of 1.100. Our Eco-Flec Rolls will provide some insulation.
Is it possible to seal the seams so liquid doesn't get trapped in between or under the rubber?
You can seal the seams of our Eco-Flec Rolls with our Seam Sealer glue. This glue helps to make your flooring water resistant. Depending on how the seam sealer glue is installed, there is still potential for water and other liquids to slip through the seam. You can also use our Rubber Floor Finish and Sealer in conjunction with our Seam Sealer glue to further make your rubber flooring water resistant.

I bought the 8mm eco flex roll, and love the product. It works great for all the P90X workouts. I was let down a bit by the length of time it took from t g e time I ordered until it shipped. It was 10 days later than what the order detail said, and when I called I didn't get much detail about what the hold up was. Now that I finally have the flooring I am satisfied with the product.
Worked perfect for my gym flooring

I did a lot of research on what to use for my home gym flooring before finally deciding on the Eco-flex rolls. I couldn't be happier. They were easy to install and the best price by far. Been using them for about 2 weeks now and its better than I could hope for, soft yet extremely durable.

The Eco-Flec was exactly what I needed for my home basement gym. Fast shipping and easy installation. Once in the basement I rolled out to the dimensions I needed and trimmed off the extra matting with a razor.
  Price:value ratio is good.

The Eco-flec rolls are a reconstituted scrap product. As far as I understand, it is made using not only recycled tire rubber, but also scrap rubber flooring from the manufacture as well. I purchased four 4'x25' rolls. Three of them had manufacturing defects, although small enough to not require replacement. These are small 2-4" defects in the floor where the rubber density is defective, with flaking of rubber chips, even enough that I could push my finger through the 8mm layer. I just made a square cut on each side of the defect and pieced together the floor. Overall this is a small loss of square footage, but it is an annoying extra step that I had to take several times due to defects. Overall, I am satisfied with the finished, installed product.
