Customer Questions

Don't see what you're looking for?
Are the planks glossy? Does it have a shine?
Anonymous
They are not finished with a glossy surface.
Can this be used in a home that is not climate controlled all year round?
Anonymous
COREtec Plus is stable between 32 and 140 degrees. You can glue down the COREtec Plus if the temperatures are going to be below the 32 mark.
Can you install cabinets, island, appliances on top of this floor?
Anonymous
Yes you can, it is recommended that you glue those areas down.
Do you need a moisture barrier under this product?
Anonymous
As an extra precaution, we recommend 6mm plastic. However, if you choose not to use a moisture barrier, with will not void your warranty.
How often does the pattern repeat?
COREtec One has a pattern repeat of 6 planks.
Would you recommend installing this product over a concrete-floor car garage (that does not ever get below 32 degrees due to the full garage door) where a car will roll over it and then rest on it every night?
Leon DeDonder
The manufacturer does not intend the floor planks for this type of use.
I have hair spray mist on my floor how can I clean it? Is there something I can use on my floor to give it a shine
Regina R Dennis
Please see the maintenance instructions PDF for detailed cleaning instructions. Avoid using mop and shine products on your resilient flooring.
My basement has flooded in the past. Is the Cortec one waterproof vinyl plank something I could install with the possibility that you could flood again? Or, is there another flooring option that you would recommend?
The Coretec One is a very durable product and is 100% waterproof. If a flood does occur you are able to pull the planks to allow the subfloor dry completely and reinstall. You will want to pull the floor up to no let mold build-up under if flooding does happen again.
Is this flooring suitable for gym equipment (treadmill and eliptical machines)
Sue
You can, if you have legs or wheels under either of the machines we would recommend using appropriate furniture pads or placers to disperse some of the weight out.
Does the Coretec One plank require a subfloor or plastic underneath? the coretec plus has the cork underlay attached, but since this one does not, what type can be used? thank you
Anonymous
If you are installing over concrete, you should definitely consider adding a moisture barrier. Cork underlayment is a great addition as well to the COREtec One.
We have a theee season porch with low e glass and fully closable during inclement weather. It has a very thick cement floor that has been epoxied. Can we use the Core-Tex in this situation and with the epoxy finish do we need a vapor barrier?
Dale
COREtec One may be installed in a three season room; however, if the temperatures drop below 32 or go above 140 due to direct sunlight, the floor may not perform well.
