Specify it once, re-order it everywhere.
Why a standard helps
Named product lines give specifiers products that they can write into a bid and re-order with confidence. That is better than commodity flooring with a different SKU on each re-order.
Our own lines include Traxxon rubber rolls, Nitro garage tiles, and ProStep and VersaStep dance rolls. A campus standard can name the product and the color for each room type.
A standard also helps the custodial team. Each product has its own cleaning and maintenance instructions, so fewer products mean fewer routines to train on every campus.
Plan for color consistency
- Separate orders: the Rubber Gym Rolls page says color can vary between separate orders. For the best match, order all rolls for an area at the same time.
- Recycled blends: Confetti and Natural colors use post-industrial recycled rubber, so some color and shade variation is expected.
- Matching an existing floor: our Quick Ship post points you to custom-cut rolls when you must match an existing floor or a precise spec.
- Quick Ship colors: Quick Ship Pre-Cut rolls come in a short palette, such as Black and 10% Gray fleck. A standard that uses these colors can re-order from regional stock.
Tell us the room types and we will suggest named products for each one.
Choose products that are easy to repair
A standard must last through years of repairs. With carpet tiles, you replace one damaged tile instead of the whole room.
Mannington Script Carpet Tile is one example. The product page recommends it for schools, libraries, and hallways. It resists delamination and edge ravel, withstands aggressive wet cleanings, and coordinates with Mannington Outline and Sketch. It is made in the USA with 50% post-consumer content.
Test before you standardize
Our free commercial sample program ships samples free. Ask for each color that you plan to use in the standard. Put samples in a real classroom and a real hallway first. Approve the standard only after your facilities team sees the samples in the space.
