Description - AcoustiCORK R60 6mm Heated Floor Mini Roll is the perfect underlayment to use under all of your heated floors. As with the standard R60 cork underlayment, this has been formulated to be used under ceramic tiles and hardwoods, but this flooring underlayment can be used under other flooring types. This underlayment offers great comfort a great sound absorption compared to foam and 2mm rubber. This underlayment would need to be glued with a urethane adhesive and would also need a vapor barrier attached. Water can move quite freely through cork, so it is imperative that a vapor barrier is attached to protect the flooring surface. R60 Heated Floor Mini roll underlayment is also designed to meet building codes and condominium association requirements when the floor and ceiling assembly system is a ceramic, natural wood or stone with a suspended ceiling.
Material - R60 Heated Floor Mini Roll underlayment is made from cork, which is harvested bark off of the cork tree. The bark of the tree grows back for over 200 years and can be stripped every 9 years, making this product a truly inexhaustible product.
