I received my order of 640 Sq. Ft of Nitro Coin Tiles quickly. These were for my 18 yr old Tress-car garage floor. I had no real expectations other than I knew this would be a large project for an older guy (73) like me. After watching a few videos, I decided to start in the middle of the two-car side and finish out on the third car side. Well, I finished the job in three days, working around a lot of equipment, shelves, a refrigerator, and a huge dog kennel. No way to put it all outside, so it was back and forth. I used a 3″ circular saw for most of the cuts. Results - I love the floor, and the great product you sent me. I an so happy with the tiles and the fit. Thanks for all the advice.

Really liked how it locked together. There was a slight variation in the sizing with the white pieces - they were just a smidge bigger which made them unruly when fitting with other pieces but after a while I figured out a technique to get them to lock in properly but was a bear until I figured something out. In the end the floor looks amazing. We built a new house and elected to leave basement unfinished (over 2000 sq ft.). I have a jewelry making hobby as well as I sew (alot) and do crafts. My husband has a wood working shop he will set up and we didn't want to paint the floor or leave it bare concrete so the tiles add a lot of color and brightness and I think it will be easy to keep clean - just sweep. We used blue, black, dark gray, light gray and white and did a completely random pattern. I am not so good with taking photos and uploading but I would have loved to shown off our work.

Spend a lot of time researching different tiles to cover over my old worn asbestos tile garage floor with a drain in the middle. I didn't want to remove the old tiles because of the remediation problems and I wasn't sure I could get the old adhesive out of the concrete to do epoxy coating. Needed something that would flex because of the slope in the garage for the drain and this fit the bill. I chose the smooth tile for easier cleaning. Installation in my two car garage and two closets in the garage took me about 10 hours including the trimming. I'm 70 years old and it wasn't hard for me to do. The prep time took longer than the installation.

This is a great product and the finished job is fantastic. I am so glad that I decided to spend a little more money and go with Coin Flex Nitro over the Nitro Tiles. No clicking sounds, flexible leading to nice flat installation and really great looking. The custom design tool is great! Installation was very straightforward as well. I will say however, using a utility knife to install these files is really not feasible. It's sort of misleading that the 'how to' video is for the Coin Flex, not the Coin Flex Nitro. The Coin Flex must be a lot softer and more flexible as I tried a utility knife and its just not the right way to go. I ended up using a circular saw for the cuts and it worked well. A table saw would be perfect if you have one, but if not I would definitely recommend a circular saw. I will be interested to see how this wears over time, but as for now, I am super satisfied and love the product!

I was doing projects around the house when I had some energy back in July and decided it was time to cleanup the garage and paint it. Then my wife decided it was time to replace my cabinets that held my tools and junk. Then I decided the floor really needed a new treatment. After reviewing the choices for a floor treatment I began investigating tiles and made my decision when I found the FlexNitro tiles at Garage Floors, Inc. So the tiles arrived in a timely manner because it took me longer to paint the garage than I thought it would (there was a delay because of a train problem somewhere along the line). Then the new cabinets we had chosen were delivered and I assembled those. And then we were ready and my son and I laid the floor in four or five hours. We like it a lot, my wife really likes it. The pictures I took today show a lived-on floor and my Honda garage. Hope you like it.

The floor turned out great but I will take one star off for a deceptive tile size. I designed my floor layout and it was going to work out perfectly. I could use fill tiles and have about a 1/2″ gap at the walls for expansion, without cutting any tiles. HOWEVER, when I started installing the tiles, I discovered that the tiles are 20″ x 20″ joint to joint. The specs on the tiles state 20.5″ x 20.5″. That dimension includes the interlocking tabs, and should not be used when designing al layout. As a result, instead of having a 1/2″ gap at the walls, my gap was actually going to be closer to 3″. Not acceptable! So I offset my floor and had to cut tiles to fill a 6″ gap on one side, causing me to need more tiles than I ordered. I think the tiles specs should be made clear that the actual exposed size is 20″ x 20″. Regarding cutting the tiles, I found that using my cheap $100 table saw was great.

With both appearance and simplicity of install started with laying down 1 course and the next thing I know I was done lol. Took about 1-1/2 hours no hammer needed, used my thumb to press into place although a hammer would have saved my thumb from a lasting imprint lol. Cuts very easy with a new sharp blade on razor knife I found using a straight edge and just scoring enough to fold then cut worked well for me great product. Thank you!

  GREAT EXPERIENCE

Product is awesome. It is even a bit thicker than I expected. The tiles seem very durable. I did the full installation by myself. All of the core (full tiles) went down in a couple of hours after I had everything centered. The measuring/cutting/installation of the outside pieces took another several hours. I was very OCD about getting pretty exact 1/8-1/4 standoff. Tiles cut VERY easily with a simple jigsaw. We love the finished product so much that we are going to do my son's garage as well as a Christmas present.

I am very pleased with the quality of the tiles. I installed in my basement over a vinyl plank underlayment. The install went quick and easy, they snapped together well. The product is very easy to install, just need a very sharp utility knife. Everyone who sees it is wowed.

I’m a garage door installing dealer so I’ve been in thousands of garages , everyone is very unhappy with epoxy coatings ( Hot Tire Pickup ) and the Hollow Plastic Tiles ( Too Thick and Brittle ) everyone loves the Vinyl Rubber Tiles or the Vinyl Rubber Rolls that’s what sold me and I’ve already recommended it to others , super easy installation !!! I went wall to wall and added baseboards for a really fine finished look , Put in 850 sq ft of tiles in 3 hours with two of us laying them down . Extremely satisfied with my decision to purchase these

I ordered light gray and black for the color pattern of my garage floor. Expensive product and it looks nice when first installed. However, it is extremely hard to keep clean. If I was to do this purchase over again I would have got all dark color tiles. As soon as you drive a car over the light color tiles, it leaves tire marks that are very hard to get off the floor. Also, the light color tiles where the tires rest on the floor are permanently discolored and don't look very good only after 2 months. Overall, the floor looks better than then ugly painted floor, but I expected more from this floor especially for the cost. As a note to others: WD-40 helps get most of the tire marks off the light color tiles (won't get it all).

  My third garage floor install
Self-installed in Garage
Jim M. from Tacoma, WA wrote...
I have put garage tiles in three garages so far in my life and this one might be my favorite. The past two garages I did I used the plastic tiles which are great. I always liked the plastic tiles since you can't see the interlocks and they look great. This time I wanted to try the vinyl since I heard they are quieter. Well they weren't lying, these tiles feel almost like a rubber floor and don't ever have that clicky sound like the plastic tiles sometimes have if your subfloor is uneven. I think these tiles might also be easier to clean since it seems impossible for dirt to get in the cracks. Overall I am very happy with my purchase. Thank you.
