1/2" Premium Mega Mats Reviews

mats are extremely durable, easy to put together to make a larger surface area, and little odor. They are a perfect flooring for a converted basement to gym!

Went with 1/2″ thick non-interlocking Premium Mega Mats because, on paper, they are the best value for a high quality vulcanized floor. 1/2″ is thick enough to handle heavy weights. A larger size mats means less seams to deal with. With a straight edge, you get more mat for your money. These mats have a diamond pattern surface. Went with the blue fleck. They are thick enough, heavy, and durable. Although these mats are high quality, they are not perfectly square. (They do fit better than horse stall mats.) I spent many hours fitting them. Staggering has worked out better than joining four corners. Also because of other manufacturing defects, I requested two replacement mats. I sent photos and the manufacturer was willing to provide replacements at no additional cost. Also note there is some variation in thickness. Despite the flaws, I would purchase these again. They are that good.

The Mega Mat works great for jumping rope on carpet.

Great mats for my basement gym! Very low odor and they appear to be very durable. The only downside is the shipping cost. They are nearly as high as the mats!

Love these mats. Just the right thickness to dampen the sound from my spin bike. They're definitely not easy to move around being 1/2″ thick and heavy but, once in place they don't move. Their slightly textured surface provides a perfect, non-slip surface for working out (stretching, weight training, etc.). Like most rubber mats, they need a couple of days being opened up flat outdoors to ″air″ out the smell - that's my only beef. Otherwise, great stuff!

Great flooring for the home gym. Easy to install with very little odor. Only drawback is the high shipping charges. Almost as high as the mats!!

This is used in our family gym, and it gives very substantial protection to our floor.

Great mat for working out. Heavy so it doesn’t move around, and just enough “bounce” for cushioning.

shipped promptly, contacted by shipping company, delivered, set up easily, very little initial smell that is no longer apparent. 1/2″ is perfect for boxing (300 pound bag) and weight lifting with kettle bells (what i use my mats for). i got (6) 4x6's and my room looks great. i have hardwood floors, so a mat set up is mandatory for any equipment.

This flooring is SO incredibly durable. Very low on rubber smell. No airing out needed. Exactly as I hoped for!

Right size, right thickness/cushion, not too much smell (I know it will dissipate). Perfect for our workout room. Little slow getting to us, just under 4 weeks - but worth the wait.
