Don't see what you're looking for?
Can these grass tiles be used outside? I have a gravel road base, ?and this area is a pet area.
Anonymous
Our Turf Tiles use a nylon fiber will fade in the sun, so we don't recommend their use outdoors. You can use them outdoors if you are ok with this. As long as the base is solid, these tiles will work great for your pet area.
I'm interesting in installing turf in my football themed basement. What is the recommended method of applying the yard lines, team logo, etc? Is there speciality paint? Is the paint more commonly done as a DIY project or applied by a professional?
Brendan Meyer
To add lines to our Turf Tiles, you can use a variety of white paints, both removable and permanent. Installation of these lines can be done by anyone whether an amateur or professional. Just have to make sure you chalk out your lines so that they look straight and professional.
Can the turf be used in a garage where a car is parked?
Elizabeth
Our Turf Tiles can be installed in a garage. If a car were to be driven over these tiles, you might see some depression in the turf where the car is parked. This indentation may never spring back. Also, if there is any dirt or oil on the tires, some staining may occur that may not come out. Depending on how you drive in and out of the garage, there may be some separation of the tiles.
Can these be vacuumed?
Cornelius
Our Turf Tiles can be vacuumed with a suction style vacuum.
Can these tiles be cleaned with a shampoo cleaner like a Rug Doctor or something similar?
James
To clean your Turf Tiles, we recommend using a vacuum or broom to clean off any large dirt and debris. For any stuck on dirt and debris, we recommend treating those messes with a mild soap and water solution and rag.
I'm interested in using these in my basement. How do they handle slight moisture?
Our Turf Tiles are able to handle moisture very well. These tiles are mold and mildew resistant and are very easy to clean and maintain. Since these tiles are interlocking tiles, in the event of a major flooding event, you can pick up the tiles, clean them off and replace them.
Will these tiles interlock with the rubber tiles for a workout space?
Jake
Our Turf Tiles do not currently lock with any of our rubber tiles. You can cut the tabs off of our rubber tiles and our Turf Tiles to install them next to each other. You then would just use our Seam Sealer glue to keep them in place.
Can these tiles be used with soccer cleats on? We are looking to install turf in the basement for our sons to practice soccer.
Erin
Yes, our Turf Tiles can be used with Soccer cleats on. These tiles are very durable and provide a cushion underfoot.
What is the feel of the flooring? Considering it for a space that would have people walking, but also sitting, young children crawling on it, etc.
Kelly
The Turf Tiles are good for people walking and sitting, but we wouldn't recommend it for young children crawling on it since it can be a little abrasive for them. To serve your purpose best, we recommend the 5/8" Soft Turf Tiles. These tiles are soft and non-abrasive, and also perforated so they would do a good job at draining as well if water is spilled on them.
Can I use these to practice putting for golf? Or when the tiles connect will it make it bumpy in that area. I have a space that I rent out in the winter and looking for a portable option to lay down putting floor and then have the option to take apart in the summer?
Jeremiah
Yes, the Turf Tiles can be used as a putting green surface to practice golf.
I’m looking to make a golf room, I was wondering if you could cut this in pieces. Also is it very bulky?
For golf rooms. we recommend using our Putting Green Turfs which you can find here https://www.rubberflooringinc.com/putting-green-turf.html. We also carry pre-cut putting green mats that are not bulky.
We have a golf room and want padded tiles that we can take apart and stack when not in use. Will this scratch up our hardwood?
Our Turf Tiles come with a recycled rubber backing and would not scratch your hardwood floor.
What are the measurements of Turf Tiles. How thick is the rubber substrate and the density of the turf? We're looking to create an area in our basement for athletic training and want to make sure we order the right amount and proper thickness.
Our Turf Tiles are 23” x 46” and the rubber underlayment is 12mm. The turf itself is 1" thick. More information can be found on the product page, under the "Details" tab. This turf is widely used by our customers for indoor gyms and would work great in your basement for athletic training. Please feel free to order a sample to see if you like the product.
What material is this turf made of?
The turf is made of Nylon.
How much weight can you put on the turf? My home gym is about 2,600 pounds total.
Jazmine
Our Turf Tiles feature a rubber base that will allow you to place fitness equipment over them. There is no weight maximum. The only issue you may run into is that when the equipment is moved, there may be an indentation where the equipment was. To fix this, we recommend brushing the turf fibers with a push broom. There is not guarantee that the fibers will return to their original state, but you can at least get the turf close.
