More about this product

Wet ground meets a vented drainage tile built to shed it fast.

Why Rugged Grip-Loc Tiles hold up on wet, high-traffic ground

Vented Polypropylene Tile

Built to take on rain, splash, and daily grind.

Rugged Grip-Loc Tiles are vented polypropylene floor tiles that snap together over patios, garages, pool decks, and kennel runs. Water drains straight through the open grid instead of pooling on top, so the surface stays slip-resistant and the impact-resistant plastic keeps standing up to vehicles, foot traffic, and outdoor weather year after year.

Self-Draining Surface

An open vented grid lets water, mud, and debris pass straight through instead of collecting on top of the tile.

Won't Crack Under Vehicle Weight

The polypropylene tile body is formulated to take rolling and parked vehicle loads in a garage without cracking or chipping.

Holds Its Color Season After Season

Colorfast in direct sun and resistant to mold and mildew growth, indoors or out, in wet or dry conditions.

7 Colors, One 12″ Tile

Seven interlocking colors share the same 12″ x 12″ tile, so a single order can mix colors into one layout or border.

Customer Questions & Answers

99 questions

  • Does mold or mildew grow on these tiles? I would like to use them in an uncovered outdoor shower at the beach. Our present wood snap tiles grow slippery with mold and mildew.

Our Rugged Grip-Loc Tiles are mold and mildew resistant as well as slip resistant. They would be perfect for your outdoor shower at the beach. We want an invitation!

  • I'm interested in installing these over a treated lumber deck. How easy is it to pick the tiles up to seal the deck occasionally?

Our Rugged Grip-Loc Tiles are very easy to install and uninstall. These tiles are interlocking, so when you need to remove them, all you would have to do is start on one side and pull them up and separate as need be.

  • I have an outdoor utility area (air conditioning units, pool equipment, garbage cans, etc.) that has a rigid border. It is currently dirt. I am considering adding crushed stone for drainage. I would like to cover the stone or dirt with your Grip Lock tile product. Do you recommend the tile over the stone or the dirt? Also, what is the difference between Rugged Grip Lock and Vented Grip Lock, other than the thickness of the tile?

We recommend placing our Rugged Grip-Loc Tiles over a flat surface such as concrete or asphalt, but these tiles can be placed over crushed stone or dirt as long as the surface is flat. When placed over these surfaces, during heavy rain events, the floor may become unstable, but during normal conditions, the tiles will perform as designed. The difference between the Rugged Grip-Loc Tiles and Vented Grip-Loc tiles are the colors and the surface venting pattern.

  • Can these be used under a softer rubber gym flooring?

Our Rugged Grip-Loc Tiles can be a subfloor under soft rubber gym flooring. These tiles are very easy to put together and are rigid giving your floor all the support it will need.

  • 5 out of 5 starsEasy to install, reasonable price, great customer service

I have a very large wooden deck and I live in a place that gets a lot of rain and snow. After researching just about every possible way to handle the floor, I found these deck tiles, and they were pretty reasonably priced. I needed something I could install myself, something that would look nice, allow water to drain through, and not involve a lot of glue fumes, hammering, or heavy weight. The installation of these tiles checks all the boxes in my case. I have yet to see how they look after the winter season, but so far they've handled lots of rain with no problems. They're easy to wash off with a hose and they stay put. I've been scoring them with a utility knife to cut pieces, and I wish I had some kind of a small hand tool because I could have done it even faster with the right cutting equipment. I installed my bi-level deck floor by myself in about 6 hours.

  • 5 out of 5 starsEAY ASSEMBLY STURDY

We bought this product to cover our outdoor shower floor. It was easy to assemble and allowed for flexibility in shape in order to fit our shower. The sturdiness allows for confidence that it will not break or fall apart can provide a solid floor in a space that can be slippery dangerous

  • 5 out of 5 starsOn outdoor porch in NYC

I purchased these tiles (in gray) in May of 2018 to put on top of my outdoor porch in Brooklyn, NY. I waited to review them until they had been through each season. I called to discuss my needs with the company and the representative was fantastic - knowledge, courteous, extremely helpful and very nice. I did not order samples and just went for it. I ordered the additional 5% but ended up with many more tiles than I needed (I still have a lot in my garage, but I am actually fine with that because I can easily replace any tile at any time). My porch is oddly shaped so I did have to trim numerous tiles around the edge. It was difficult at first, but that was because my razor was crap. I bought a new one and it was smooth sailing from there, once you figure out how best to make your cuts. Snapping the pieces together was simple (especially if I stomped on any difficult spots [more likely due to porch being uneven than anything to do with the tiles]) and getting them apart took some prying but was fairly simple as well. I was also able to install a section, walk away, do another section another day, etc without issue. I should note that during my entire installation I was 5mo pregnant with a 1.5yo! The porch gets a lot of sun and the tiles can get a bit hot, but a quick hose spray takes care of it. Last year we had 5 heat waves and the tiles survived without issue. They are not slippery when wet. Water and snow pass through easily, and snow also can cake up nicely to play during the winter. At first I found the tiles a bit abrasive to bare feet, but we all quickly adjusted or we just wear shoes. In the summer we use the grill, a small pool, and water table as well as wheel around our giant umbrella in it's appx 65lb base. The tiles support all the weight and have not damaged the roofing materials underneath. They are easy to sweep and small debris passes through. My only complaint is that I would have preferred them in black (which was not an option) because the material can stain which makes me crazy, but that's a personal choice and I have messy kids! Otherwise I couldn't be happier! Everyone who has visited has voiced how impressive these tiles are as well! I honestly can't recommend these tiles or this company highly enough
