Installation
- First, clean your sub floor so it is free of all dirt, grease or debris.
- Start in one corner of the room with a corner tile and add border tiles outward along the adjacent walls. Add center, corner, and border tiles where you see fit.
- When coming up to an opposite wall, make sure you cut the tiles to fit the area leaving a gap that’s roughly the thickness of the tiles being used to account for expansion and contraction of the floor tiles in varied temperature ranges.
Care & Maintenance
- Impact Rubber Tiles are simple to clean and maintain. These foam floor tiles are constructed of durable closed-cell foam and have a recycled rubber surface bonded to the top surface. This means liquids cannot penetrate the surface foam rubber mats.
- If the interlocking foam rubber tiles do get something spilled on them or appear dirty, all that is required to clean them is to do a quick wipe of the interlocking floor tiles with a damp cloth and your impact rubber tiles will look like new.

How effective would this be in protecting concrete when weight would be dropped from overhead?
Our 3/4" Soft Rubber tiles are one of our most effective tiles to use when dropping weight. These tiles are extra thick and feature both foam and rubber for added shock absorption and durability.
Was this helpful?I recently received my order of these tiles and they have a bad smell, is this permanent?
Our Impact Rubber Tiles are made with rubber with foam bonded to them. Often the smell of new rubber is strong but will fade fairly quickly with time. To speed up this process you can clean the surface with a mild soap and water and let dry. You may need to do this a few times to eliminate the smell completely.

Was this helpful?Given the rubber top and the lower foam have 2 different material properties, including expansion/contraction, how does the adhesion stand up to time? Won't they separate?
We use a high-density closed-cell EVA foam to construct our Impact Rubber Tiles. This foam is highly moisture resistant, which prevents expansion and contraction. This type of foam allows the rubber top to adhere securely to the foam without falling apart. We have customers who have used these tiles for years without having the layers separate.

Purchased this as a gift for my boyfriend because working out is something that he does daily. However, he struggles with plantar fasciitis and sometimes working out on harder surfaces will aggravate it. After explaining my needs to the sales representative, they recommended this specific mat because it provides ample amount of cushion to absorb any impact from weight training that he will do. Assembling the mats every day (because he works out in our bedroom) is very easy a fast. Depending on the workout he is doing, sometimes he pieces together all of the mats and some days he uses some of them. If you are looking for mats for your home gym and need a significant amount of padding to absorb impact, I highly recommend checking this mat out.

I wanted an area roughly 8 x 10...it recommended 32 tiles (this included the 5% overage). With just 24 tiles I was able to accomplish a 11' 6" x 7' 9" area. This would have worked out great. So now I have 8 tiles still in the box. I could have saved almost $100. The tiles are amazing and I would highly recommend them. Only sharing this to hopefully save someone some money.
