Our 5/8" Premium Soft Foam Tiles are an excellent choice for an easy-to-install safe and cushioned flooring. Available in versatile design-friendly neutral tones as well as multiple fun bright colors, these interlocking foam tiles can stylishly update any room with custom patterns like checkerboards, stripes, and more. The water-resistant, shock-absorbent, and insulating design makes these tiles the perfect flooring option for any playroom, bedroom, exercise room, or basement. Each soft and durable interlocking foam tile comes with two detachable edge pieces for a professionally finished look, are 100% non-toxic, and free of any allergens or latex, making them safe for the whole family.

Recommended Uses: Our 5/8" Premium Soft Foam Tiles have been used successfully in home exercise or fitness rooms, as Pilates and yoga mats, as tradeshow flooring, as kid’s play room flooring, bedroom flooring, daycare and early education flooring, and any other area where a cushioned or anti-fatigue flooring system would be useful.

Installing 5/8" Premium Soft Foam Tiles is very simple and usually done by the consumer. Typical installation of these interlocking foam floor tiles is as follows:

First, clean your subfloor so it is free of all dirt, grease or debris.
Start in one corner of the room with a corner tile and add border tiles outward along the adjacent walls. Add center, corner, and border tiles where you see fit.
When coming up to an opposite wall, make sure you cut the tiles to fit the area leaving a gap that’s roughly the thickness of the tiles being used to account for expansion and contraction of the floor tiles in varied temperature ranges.

Please note: When piecing interlocking tiles together, adhesives aren’t usually needed since the weight of the product is usually enough to keep the floor tiles from moving. However, if you do experience movement and would like to ensure that the tiles do not slide at all, you can use some double-sided tape or mat tape around the perimeter of the installation to prevent any movement.

5/8" Premium Soft Foam Tiles are very easy to clean and maintain. These foam floor tiles are constructed of durable closed cell EVA foam. This means that no liquids can penetrate the surface of the tiles.
If the interlocking foam tiles do get something spilled on them or appear dirty, all they need is a quick wipe with a damp cloth and your soft tiles will look like new.

You can disinfect our 5/8" Premium Soft Tiles with any disinfectant found on the market. Commonly used ones are Lysol Wipes, Clorox Wipes, and the like.

Currently, we don't have any beveled edging for our Premium Soft Tiles. For any entryway, we would recommend using any standard flooring transition you can find. We offer a wide range of trims and moldings on our Trims and Moldings page.

Our Premium Soft Tiles will not interlock with our ABC Mats.

Since our Premium Soft Tiles are considered a toy, these tiles do not have a fire rating like our other flooring products. For fire testing on these tiles, please feel free to contact one our Flooring Heroes and they will be more than happy to send you our testing docs.

Our Premium Soft Tiles are great as floor covering for the bottom of a tent.

Our Premium Soft Tiles can be used in an outdoor tiki hut as a play area for toddlers. If exposed to the elements, the tiles may degrade over time, but they can be easily replaced if damaged.

Premium Soft Tiles can be installed in a kitchen for added support underfoot, but may be easily punctured if anything sharp is dropped on them.

Our Premium Soft Tiles are fire resistant but are considered toys, so they are ?n?ot tested under NFPA 253 regulations.

All of our foam tiles including our 5/8" Premium Soft Tiles do not contain any formamide.

You will not need anything under our Premium Soft Tiles when installing them over your subfloor. The tiles are made of foam which is similar to foam carpet padding. If you do place heavy items on the floor, the tiles will indent. To prevent this, we recommend the use of our Furniture Sliders.

Our 5/8" Premium Soft Tiles can be used over commercial low pile carpet with ease. Over plush carpet, there is potential for the tiles to separate a bit causing a slight tripping hazard, but these tiles can be installed over any type of carpet.

Our 5/8" Premium Soft Tiles are Class 1 fire rated.

The top surface of our 5/8" Premium Soft Tiles are textured while the bottom of the tiles is smooth.

Unfortunately, even if a tile is the same thickness, the interlocks may not be the same. So our 5/8" Premium Soft Tiles will not interlock with any of our rubber tiles.

There is potential for our 5/8" Premium Soft Tiles to slide when installing over a ceramic floor. With normal use, these tiles typically do not move or shift but can move when certain movements are done on the floor. You can place a non-slip carpet liner under the tiles to give them a better hold.

You would not need to place a vapor barrier between our 5/8" Premium Soft Tiles and the subfloor. These tiles are non-porous and would not allow liquids to come up from the subfloor or down through the tiles. The only area where liquids could get through the floor would be at the interlocks. If there is any separation, liquids would be able to move from the surface to the subfloor.

We wouldn't recommend using foam as a salon floor. These tiles would indent if walked on with high heels; also, when wet, they would be a slip hazard. If you put any heavy chairs on the floor, they will leave indentations unless you put furniture sliders under the chairs. We would recommend rubber tiles. Rubber tiles are slip resistant when wet, add comfort underfoot, will not indent under high heels or chairs, and are very easy to clean and maintain.

You can clean our 5/8" Premium Soft Tiles like any other floor. For large dirt and debris, we recommend using a broom. For stuck on dirt and debris, we recommend mopping the floor with a mild soap and water solution with a synthetic mop head. You would then let the floor air dry.

Our 5/8" Premium Soft Tiles are 2' x 2' and 5/8" thick.

There isn't much prep work that needs to be done to the subfloor when installing our Premium Soft Tiles. The only things you will need do is make sure that the concrete is free of any dirt and debris. If the concrete has some minor peaks and valleys, that is not a problem; these tiles will float over any minor imperfections. If there are any major peaks and valleys, we would recommend leveling out your concrete. This will help to prevent damage to your new floor.

Even though the 5/8" Soft Wood Tiles and the 5/8" Soft Tiles are the same size and thickness, they cannot be interlocked. They have different interlocking systems.

You can use our 5/8" Premium Soft Tiles outdoors. Since these tiles are made from foam, they will not handle the elements as well as some of our other flooring products and may need to be replaced more often. They are non-porous and are mold and mildew resistant and are very easy to clean and maintain. These tiles are not UV stable, so over time in direct sunlight they will fade a bit.

Our 5/8" Premium Soft Tiles are not two-toned. You will have to buy two different colors if you want a checkered floor.

The R-Value for our foam flooring is approximately 4.21 per inch. Our 5/8" Premium Soft Tiles will provide ample insulation for your basement.

The locking system of the 1/2" Eco-Soft+ Tiles and 5/8" Premium Soft Tiles are different and they do not interlock.

We do not apply any specific flame retardants onto the foam mats, however they do meet and exceed 16 CFR 1500.44 Flammability of Solids testing. This means that the burn rate of a solid is below a specified amount that would classify it is any sort of fire hazard.

The Premium Soft Tiles are not designed to handle the weight of heavy workout equipment, but they can be used for that purpose and many of our customers do. The weight of the equipment may leave permanent indentation in the tiles that it is on, but it will not rip the tile. These tiles make it easy to dampen some of the noise of some equipment while in use as well.

Yes, we do not use latex in our foam products. Our EVA foam products are great for people with latex sensitivities.

These tiles can sometimes be slippery when excessively wet, but are often used for yoga and other exercises. The surface is textured to allow extra grip when working out and are specifically designed to add some grip without being harsh on your skin.

You can order any color variety of our Premium Soft Tiles! Many of our customers have made very wonderful designs with different colors and configurations.

Our Premium Soft Tiles have a texture on them that you can see in the photos. The textured surface provides a small bit of friction to make the tiles grip better without being rough underfoot.
