Description - Regrind rolled flooring is an extremely low cost yet very durable rolled rubber flooring solution. These rolls offer a functional rubber floor surface however color and density of color flecks between rolls is not guaranteed. These rolls are made from our very own post industrial recycled rubber that is naturally made during the production of our standard recycled rubber products. Regrind rubber rolls are very dense and have an anti slip surface to help keep traction even in the most demanding lateral movement exercises. These rolls work great in home gyms or commercial gym areas where heavy exercise equipment is being used and the customer is in need of the lowest cost rubber flooring solution available. These rolls are also guaranteed with our industry leading 5 year warranty.
Material – Reground rubber that is made from the post industrial recycled rubber created during the production of our standard rubber products. This allows us to make a low cost product that is designed to be functional. If you would like a rubber roll that has guaranteed color consistency, we would recommend one of our standard rolled rubber flooring products instead.
Width – 4 feet.
Thickness – Available in 1/4", 8mm and 3/8" thickness.
Length – Available in standard 25 and 50 foot roll lengths.
Color – Available in confetti color pattern and a primarily black color pattern. (Note: This flooring is made entirely from the post industrial recycled rubber that is naturally made during the production of our standard rubber flooring products. Due to this, color density, shade, and variation can exist in the flooring depending on what kind of colors and products we are running on any given day. Black regrind rolls may also contain a few color flecks and thus consistency of color can not be guaranteed with any regrind roll.)
Weight – 1.5 Lbs. per square foot for the 1/4” thick rolls, 1.8 Lbs. per square foot for the 8mm thick rolls and 2.2 Lbs. per square foot for the 3/8” thick regrind rubber flooring.
Origin – Made in the USA
Recommended Uses – Regrind rubber rolls have been used successfully in home gyms, commercial gyms, personal training studios, basements, indoor paintball studios, and in a variety of other locations where a durable non slip flooring solution would be beneficial. Even though this rubber flooring is cheap in price, it is still just as durable and can be used in places just as demanding as our regular rolled rubber flooring products. Regrind rolls are not normally recommended for use as dog kennel flooring or horse stall matting.
  • Our Regrind rolls ship in 1-3 business days when in stock. When out of stock, these rolls may take up to 5-10 days to ship out.
  • An email will automatically be sent to you with your tracking information as soon as your recycled rubber flooring ships and tracking information becomes available.
Regrind flooring is easy to clean and maintain. Maintenance of this recycled rolled rubber flooring typically includes:
  • Vacuuming any loose dust, dirt, or debris from the rubber surface when necessary.
  • Occasional damp mopping of the rolled rubber with a mild soap and water mixture. Some soaps commonly used include Dawn dish detergent and/or Tide laundry detergent.
Note: Do not use any solvent or oil style cleaners such as Pinesol, Lysol, Murphy’s Oil Soap, WD40, paint thinner, etc. since these types of cleaners will break down the flooring over time.

When installing rolled rubber flooring, it is recommended that you use some kind of adhesive to prevent the rolls from moving around or sliding apart between adjacent rolls. The most common methods of adhering rubber rolls to the sub floor are:

A: Double Sided Tape Installation
  • First you will want to clean your sub floor so that it is free of all dust, dirt, and debris.
  • Loose lay your rolls in the room as you would like them to look after a complete installation. Let the rolls relax for up to 24-48 hours to ensure proper installation of your new flooring.
  • Note: Rolls may be directional so make sure the color matches on each roll. If the roll colors do not match, flip them or turn them 180 degrees to ensure color matches.
  • Make any necessary cuts to the rolls to fit them into the room using a Straight Edge and a Utility Knife with a fresh blade. We recommend leaving a gap around the rolls roughly the thickness of the rolls being used to account for expansion and contraction.
  • Apply double sided tape to perimeter of each roll.
  • Place rubber rolls back into position on top of the double sided tape.

  • B: Glue Installation
    • First clean your sub floor so that it is free of all dirt, dust and debris. Also, when gluing your flooring down, it is recommended that the sub floor is free of any moisture.
    • Roll up the rolls at one end of the room. Put down a 10 foot long light layer of polyurethane adhesive and unroll 10 of the flooring into the adhesive at a time.
    • Repeat this step for every 10 feet of roll length until the entire roll has been unrolled into it desired position.
    • After all rolls have been glued down, it is often recommended to use a 100 pound roller on the floor in order to guarantee good adherence to the sub floor. If a roller is not available, walking on the flooring in small choppy steps may also work.

Hi, i am looking for a roll out rubber floor for our work out room in the garage. We have several heavy pieces of weight equipment and an elliptical. What would you recommend? Thank you

    A:

Our Regrind Rubber Rolls work great in garage gyms. These rolls are made from scrap material from our standard rolls, so they feature the same great qualities at a discount price. These rolls can handle heavy equipment on them and also the dropping of weights.

    Q:

Is the regrind 3/8 thick rubber floor good for shock absorption during HIIT, Plyo, and Tabata training?

Our Regrind Rolls are perfect for high impact workouts. The best color for these types of workouts is our Black Regrind. It is made less dense than our standard rolls to give you more shock absorption.

    Q:

When used outdoors in Arizona sun, I understand it's not UV-treated and will fade -- but what about gradual break-down? I don't mind fading at all, but am wondering if kids playing on the surface will end up with black hands/feet (like car tires give you) after years of gradually starting to break down?

    A:

Our Regrind Rolls will not break down when placed outdoors in the Arizona sun under normal conditions.

    Q:

On the regrind rolls, I was wondering if I could use this for an outside walkway? Thank you

    A:

Our Regrind Rolls would work perfectly outside on a walkway. Our Confetti colored rolls have the same density as our standard rubber rolls and are very slip resistant when wet. These rolls are also resistant to mold and mildew growth. We wouldn't recommend using our black rolls as they are less dense and may not hold up well to the constant foot traffic.

    Q:

Do you recommend your floors for garage use? Can you park cars on it?

    A:

Our Confetti colored Regrind Rolls can be used as garage flooring. The only issue that you may run into with having rubber as garage flooring is if your car leaks oil, the oil over time will break down the floor. To help alleviate this issue, we recommend placing an extra mat in the area where you will park the vehicle. Other than that, our rubber rolls would hold up fine to cars parked on them and driven over them.

    Q:

Is this waterproof or does it need to be sealed?

    A:

Our Regrind Rolls are water resistant not waterproof. To make them virtually water resistant, we do recommend using our Floor Finish and Sealer in conjunction with our Seam Sealer to create a virtually watertight system.

  Tough to install

Rubber rolls are heavy, and material is thick. I needed a professional installer, who worked very hard to cut through the material. Rolls were not matching in color of black, and three rolls were damaged on the sides upon delivery so that the seams have divots and chunks interrupting the seam in some places. I do like the flecks of color in the regrind rolls and samples sent before hand were a good example of what was delivered.

I ordered the confetti pre-grind roll in ?" because it was the most affordable price for the exact product I wanted. We don't do much plyo work in my gym and like the FAQ says, it's DENSE. I was afraid it would look like a daycare—that the colors would be primary and in big splotches. But it is a vast array of all the colors on offer—tan, yellow, orange, teal, purple... it's pretty much the best looking rubber mat flooring i've ever seen and I am really into design and aesthetics. After a couple days the ripples totally flattened, and the mats sat in the driveway on their pallet rolled up for over a week due to flooring issues on the construction side.... The rubber smell evaporated in a couple days as well. They are just perfect. I even have some leftover that I cut into 2x4' strips and stacked so I can use them as a deadlift platform, and for deficit or partial deadlifts. Recommend this product to the moon and back.

Very good product for gym flooring, but a some cut a bit uneven which makes for bowing in a few spots.

Good quality. Love the colored specs. Only issue was that 2 of the 4 rolls were not straight one of the ends. It would been helpful if the rolls were over- cut a couple inches to allow for the extra we had to cut off. We ended up having to piece a 2” piece in at one of the walls due to the shortage of cutting off end to make straight.
