Installation
Installation for luxury vinyl plank flooring is simple, and is commonly done by our customers.
- Complete any necessary floor prep. Make sure that the subfloor is clean, dry, structurally sound and flat within 3/16" per 10 foot radius (4.7 mm per 3 m). Square the product in the room leaving a 2-5 mm expansion space against the wall. Start with the tongue side facing the wall.
- After the initial starter board, press the end seam of the second plank into the end seam of the first plank, and then lock them together by laying the plank down. Continue working left to right.
- Install the first plank in the second row by inserting the tongue into the groove of the plank in the first row. This is best done with a low angle of the plank. Insert the long side seam at a slight angle first.
- As the top surfaces meet, rotate the plank down into the locked position. Engage the end seam, using a rubber mallet if necessary. Planks may be cut with a utility knife using the “score and snap” technique.
- Continue installing planks removing any gaps using a tapping block and a scrap of flooring to cover the tapping block. Be careful not to damage the TritonCORE Pro tongue and groove. Protect all exposed edges of the TritonCORE Pro planks by installing wall molding and/or transition strips.
- Floating installation is standard: do not nail or screw the planks down. A full-spread glue-down is also approved, and is required where the room can fall below 32 F or rise above 140 F.
Care & Maintenance
Maintenance of vinyl plank flooring typically includes:
- Daily or weekly vacuuming or dust mopping of dirt, grit, dust etc. Use felt pads under chair and furniture legs to prevent scratching of the flooring surface.
- Place door mats at all entrances to prevent tracked in dirt, rocks, moisture, and other debris. Avoid using rubber backed mats as they can stain the flooring surface over time.
- When mopping, use a damp and never a wet mop. Clean up spills immediately to prevent damage to the floor.

- 4 out of 5 starsGreat end result, bit of a hassle to get there.
We bought the Bristol oak Very happy with the end result, floor looks great and I think the quality is very good. Also seems easy to clean so far. Two things I wish had gone better. Delivery wasn't great, it came in a 53' tractor trailer which cannot get to my house, and I didn't even know the flooring had shipped until the driver called me saying he'd be there in 30 minutes. So I had to drop everything, drive to meet him in town and load the pallet into my truck. Sorry but why did I have to pay $200 delivery and then go pick it up myself last minute? The second thing I wish was better was the install instructions. Maybe I was the problem here, but this goes together differently than other LVP I've used before. I actually think I like this style better, but the instructions and even the video were unclear in my opinion. The video doesn't show the installation process without cuts (editing). Oh, also the pictures here on their website showing the different styles / colors are awful, but at least they do offer free samples so you can check them out and some reviews have pictures which helps. Our picture shows Bristol oak for your reference. Even with those issues, the price seems very good, the quality seems good, and the end result is good, which is why it still gets 4 stars.

- 5 out of 5 starsBeautiful floor! Fairly easy to install yourself!
This is an update to my previous review on the day my flooring was delivered. I finished installing the TritonCore Plymouth Hickory planks myself throughout the front hallway, living room, dining room, and kitchen of my home about 1.5 weeks ago and did the entire project myself and am VERY pleased with it! I installed it over the engineered wood planks and tile that was already there, and it looks amazing! The LVP looks so much better than the slippery engineered wood that we had!!! The hardest part was getting the first three rows to stay connected, but once I got past the third row and had the process of getting the right corner and side to click together it was fairly easy from that point on. I did most of my cuts with a compound siding miter saw, but did some of the more intricate cuts with a Japanese hand saw and by scoring and snapping. Love it, love, love it!
