More Information

Available in convenient custom cut sizing, our Eco-Flec Rubber rolls are the perfect shock-absorbing rubber flooring option for any home gym or commercial gym. These versatile gym flooring rolls are 4' wide and can be ordered in any whole foot increment above 15'. Backed by a 5-year warranty, they ensure both quality and durability.

Recommended Uses: Our Eco-Flec Rubber Rolls are a great rubber flooring solution for any home gym or commercial gym and are commonly used as flooring in basements, as fitness flooring, as underlayment, as flooring in walkways, and anywhere a non-slip flooring option is desired. Rubber underlayment can stain some vinyl flooring and linoleum over time. When using with dance floor rolls we recommend choosing black dance rolls.

Thickness:

  • 1/8": For use in light-duty areas as anti-slip flooring (not recommended for gyms)
  • 1/4": For use in home gyms and exercise rooms
  • 8 mm: For use in both home gyms and commercial gyms
  • 3/8": For use in commercial gyms and weight rooms
  • 1/2": For use as heavy-duty rubber flooring in powerlifting or Olympic training gyms

Eco Flec Rubber Flooring Rolls are made from vulcanized tires and post-industrial recycled rubber, offering heavy-duty, commercial-grade durability. Designed for the toughest conditions, these rolls combine flexibility, elasticity, and superior shock absorption, making them ideal for demanding environments.

Manufactured in the U.S., the flooring uses crumb rubber derived from vulcanized tires that have been cleaned, stripped, and purified. This process enhances the material's durability, wear resistance, and performance in both wet and dry conditions. The vulcanized composition ensures long-lasting elasticity and energy return, making it a top choice for sport and fitness facilities.

Quick Notes:
• Confetti and Natural colors are made from post-industrial recycled rubber, so some color and shade variation is natural and expected. Confetti blends may skew toward neutral tones like grays depending on the production run.
• Your order may include a few extra inches of material. This is intentional — it accounts for cutting tolerances and natural expansion, so your roll or mat is never undersized.
• Orders totaling over 1,000 sq. ft. may require additional processing time before shipping.

When installing rolled rubber flooring, it is important to choose the right installation method for your project. The most common methods of adhering rubber rolls to the subfloor are:

A: Double-Sided Tape Installation

  1. Ensure that the subfloor is clean, dry, and free of any debris.
  2. Loosely lay the rubber rolls in the room to achieve your desired layout. Allow the rolls to relax for 24-48 hours to ensure proper installation.
  3. Note: Rolls may be directional, so make sure the color matches on each roll. If the roll colors do not match, flip them or turn them 180 degrees to ensure the color matches.
  4. Cut the rubber rolls to fit the room using a straight edge and a utility knife with a fresh blade. Leave a gap around the perimeter roughly the thickness of the rolls being used to account for expansion and contraction.
  5. Roll up the rubber rolls at one end of the room. Apply double-sided tape to the subfloor along the perimeter of each roll.
  6. Place the rubber rolls back into position on top of the double-sided tape.

B: Glue Installation

  1. Ensure that the subfloor is clean, dry, and free of any debris or moisture.
Spread a light layer of polyurethane adhesive that is 10 feet long (maximum) and unroll the flooring into the adhesive 10 feet at a time.
  6. Repeat step 5 for every 10 feet of roll length until the entire roll has been unrolled into its desired position.
  7. After all of the rolls have been glued down, it is recommended to use a 100-pound roller on the floor to guarantee good adherence to the subfloor. If a roller is not available, walking on the flooring in small choppy steps may also work.

Keeping your Rubber Rolls clean and looking their best is easy with these simple maintenance tips:

  • Sweep or vacuum loose debris regularly to prevent buildup and minimize the risk of slips and falls.
  • For a deeper clean, simply damp mop the rubber rolls with a mild soap and water solution. We recommend using Dawn dish detergent or Tide laundry detergent.
  • Do not use any solvent or oil-based cleaners like Pinesol, Lysol, Murphy's Oil Soap, WD40, paint thinner, or similar products. These cleaners can break down the flooring over time and cause damage.

Customer Questions And Answer
Our Eco-Flec Roll are made from recycled tires and would be able to withstand the elements just like your tires would. The only thing that you will notice is that these rolls will fade over time when placed in direct sunlight.

You don't have to glue our Eco-Flec Rolls to keep them in place. For use as a trade show floor, we would recommend just using some double-sided tape around the perimeter of each roll and down the seam. Then once you are finished, you can remove the tape and roll the rubber flooring so you can use it at your next trade show.

You can add and underlayment under our rubber flooring for more padding. Our Eco-Flec Rolls are made to the same specifications as standard rubber underlayment, so you wouldn't need to add one, but if you wanted to, you definitely could.

Our Eco-Flec Rolls do have a rubber smell to them, which will dissipate over time. There is no hard, fast rule as to how quickly this will go away. If you are sensitive to the smell, we do recommend mopping our rubber flooring with a mild soap and water solution and allowing the flooring to air dry. You will want to make sure the space where the flooring is being installed is well ventilated. One note, you may have to repeat this cleaning process a few times to help dissipate the smell.

Our Eco-Flec Rolls can be installed easily over low pile commercial grade carpet. We don't recommend installing the rolls over plush, thick padded residential carpet as there could be separation of the rolls when walked over due to depression of the pad underneath. Our Eco-Flec Rolls are not as tightly bound as our standard rubber flooring, so there is potential for some of the rubber crumbs to transfer to your socks when used. You can prevent this by using our Rubber Floor Finish and Sealer.

If you park a car on our Eco-Flec Rolls it will not leave impressions on the floor. Since the size of the tire helps to distribute the weight over a larger surface area, the chance of creating impressions in the floor is very low.

You can seal the seams of our Eco-Flec Rolls with our Seam Sealer glue. This glue helps to make your flooring water resistant. Depending on how the seam sealer glue is installed, there is still potential for water and other liquids to slip through the seam. You can also use our Rubber Floor Finish and Sealer in conjunction with our Seam Sealer glue to further make your rubber flooring water resistant.

Our Eco-Flec Rolls can be used as flooring in dog kennels or doggy daycares. To make these rolls appropriate for dog kennels and doggy daycares, we recommend sealing the flooring with our Rubber Floor Finish and Sealer and to seal the seams with our Seam Sealer glue. This will ensure that any urine does not get trapped in the floor. To clean the flooring after the sealer has been applied, we recommend mopping the floor with a mild soap and water solution.

Chairs and couches won't leave any indentations in our Eco-Flec Rolls. These rubber rolls are denser than carpet and will not show any indentations. Rolling chairs work the best on our rubber flooring as the coefficient of friction is very high. This means that things are harder to slide across rubber compared to say carpet. You can use regular chairs on our rubber rolls, but we would suggest picking the chair up when moving it.

If our Eco-Flec Rolls were to get wet, you don't necessarily have to remove them to dry. Our rubber flooring is somewhat porous, so water can get under the rolls. If you are concerned that it had, you will want to remove the rolls to allow the subfloor to dry properly. If only a small amount of water were to fall on the floor, then letting the water evaporate over time is sufficient.

A 15' long roll of our 1/8" Eco-Flec is approximately 39 pounds. You can easily roll up and roll out our Eco-Flec Rolls. Our 1/8" roll is pretty thin, so it will offer some thermal properties but we would suggest a thicker roll to insulate properly and to be able to withstand daily use.

Our Eco Flec rubber flooring is not the proper floor for practicing ballet. For ballet, you will need a certain amount of slip, and rubber flooring is known as one of the best non-slip floors on the market. If you wanted a great multiuse floor that is great for working out on and for ballet, we recommend purchasing our Impact Rolls - Wood Series. This floor combines the properties of a rubber floor with a vinyl top that will allow for the proper amount of slip needed for practicing ballet.
