More Information

Description: Eco-Flec recycled rolled rubber flooring is an affordable yet highly durable flooring solution. These rubber rolls are made from post-industrial recycled rubber produced during the manufacturing of our standard products, combined with recycled white wall car tires. Eco-Flec rubber rolls feature an anti-slip surface to maintain traction, even during demanding lateral movement exercises, and are dense enough for commercial gym use when 8 mm thick or greater. They are ideal for home gyms or commercial gyms where heavy exercise equipment is used and a cost-effective, commercial-grade rubber flooring solution is needed. These rolls come with a 5-year warranty.

Recommended Thickness:

  • 1/8": For use in light-duty areas as anti-slip flooring (not recommended for gyms)
  • 1/4": For use in home gyms and exercise rooms
  • 8 mm: For use in both home gyms and commercial gyms
  • 3/8": For use in commercial gyms and weight rooms
  • 1/2": For use as heavy-duty rubber flooring in powerlifting or Olympic training gyms

Recommended Uses: Our Eco-Flec Rolls are great for any home or commercial gym and are commonly used as flooring in basements, as fitness flooring, as underlayment, as flooring in walkways, and anywhere a non-slip flooring option is desired.

When installing rolled rubber flooring, it is important to choose the right installation method for your project. The most common methods of adhering rubber rolls to the subfloor are:

A: Double-Sided Tape Installation

  1. Ensure that the subfloor is clean, dry, and free of any debris.
  2. Loosely lay the rubber rolls in the room to achieve your desired layout. Allow the rolls to relax for 24-48 hours to ensure proper installation.
  3. Note: Rolls may be directional, so make sure the color matches on each roll. If the roll colors do not match, flip them or turn them 180 degrees to ensure the color matches.
  4. Cut the rubber rolls to fit the room using a straight edge and a utility knife with a fresh blade. Leave a gap around the perimeter roughly the thickness of the rolls being used to account for expansion and contraction.
  5. Roll up the rubber rolls at one end of the room. Apply double-sided tape to the subfloor along the perimeter of each roll.
  6. Place the rubber rolls back into position on top of the double-sided tape.

B: Glue Installation

  1. Ensure that the subfloor is clean, dry, and free of any debris or moisture.
Spread a light layer of polyurethane adhesive that is 10 feet long (maximum) and unroll the flooring into the adhesive 10 feet at a time.
  6. Repeat step 5 for every 10 feet of roll length until the entire roll has been unrolled into its desired position.
  7. After all of the rolls have been glued down, it is recommended to use a 100-pound roller on the floor to guarantee good adherence to the subfloor. If a roller is not available, walking on the flooring in small choppy steps may also work.

Keeping your Rubber Rolls clean and looking their best is easy with these simple maintenance tips:

  • Sweep or vacuum loose debris regularly to prevent buildup and minimize the risk of slips and falls.
  • For a deeper clean, simply damp mop the rubber rolls with a mild soap and water solution. We recommend using Dawn dish detergent or Tide laundry detergent.
  • Do not use any solvent or oil-based cleaners like Pinesol, Lysol, Murphy's Oil Soap, WD40, paint thinner, or similar products. These cleaners can break down the flooring over time and cause damage.

Our Eco-Flec rolls can be used as flooring for outdoor spaces. We recommend not installing our rubber rolls over asphalt that is less than 5 years old. Fading may happen to these rolls, but they will hold up to the elements just fine.
Our Eco Flec rolls can be placed over the grass underneath your gazebo. These rolls are not fade resistant, so in areas that get a lot a sun fading of the flooring will occur.
Our Eco-Flec rolls can be used as flooring in a one season screened in porch.
Our Eco-Flec rolls are somewhat porous, but they will not soak in pee or poop right away. Any liquids will sit on top of the surface for some time before eventually migrating into the pores of the floor. To totally prevent this from happening, we recommend...
Our Eco-Flec Rolls are great as flooring in basements. These rubber rolls are resistant to mold, mildew, and water.
