Installation
Installation Instructions
Installing Premium Outdoor Sports Tiles is straightforward and can be done as a DIY project:
Prepare the Subfloor: Ensure the surface is clean and free of dirt, dust, grease, or other debris.
Begin Installation: Start in one corner of the area, ensuring that the female side (loops) of the first tile faces away from the wall.
Lay Out the Tiles: Arrange the tiles in a perpendicular pattern, covering the entire area according to your design.
Trimming for Edges: Measure and cut the tiles as needed using a tile cutter or table saw. Leave a 3/4” gap between the tiles and any walls or obstacles to allow for expansion and contraction.
Edge Installation: Snap in the edge pieces if you have purchased them, completing the installation.
Note: Outdoor Sports Tiles are not recommended for areas where vehicles will repeatedly drive over the court. For such areas, consider using our Vented Grid-Loc Tiles, which are compatible with Outdoor Sports Tiles.
Game Line Application
To apply game lines:
- Outline the lines with painter's tape or 3M 2060 tape.
- Use a two-part polyurethane paint for a durable finish.

Maintaining your Premium Outdoor Sports Tiles is easy:
- Routine Cleaning: Vacuum or sweep away any loose dust, dirt, or debris from the tiles as needed.
- Deeper Cleaning: Hose off or damp mop the tiles with a mild soap and water solution for tougher dirt or stains.

Can you play inline hockey on the premium outdoor tiles, and will these withstand the extreme heat in Arizona?
Our Premium Outdoor Sports Tiles are a great floor for inline hockey. These tiles are designed for outdoor use and will withstand extreme heat as well as extreme cold conditions.
Was this helpful?Can the basketball court be installed on leveled dirt with a weed barrier to allow water to go through and into the ground?
Our Outdoor Sports Tiles should be installed over a solid surface. Acceptable subfloors would be concrete and asphalt. Installing these tiles over grass is not recommended because when it rains, the playing surface could become unstable, but many of our customers have installed these tiles over grass with success.

The Premium Outdoor Sports Tiles are 1/2" thick and are covered under a 15-year limited warranty. The Outdoor Sports Tiles are 5/8" thick with a 10-year warranty. Both tiles are durable and popular among our customers and have similar applications, it's just a matter of preference.
