Installation Instructions
Installing HotShot Inline Hockey Floor Tiles is straightforward, ensuring a perfect fit every time:
Prepare the Subfloor: Ensure the subfloor is clean and free of dirt, dust, grease, or other contaminants. A smooth, dry surface will provide the best results.
Start Installation: Begin in one corner of the room. Align the first tile so that the female side (with loops) faces away from the wall. This will make it easier to connect the remaining tiles.
Lay Out the Tiles: Arrange the tiles in a perpendicular pattern, filling the entire area with whole tiles according to your design. The interlocking system ensures a secure fit.
Trim as Needed: When you reach edges, walls, or obstacles, measure the required space and cut the tiles using a sharp utility knife, tile cutter, or table saw. Leave a 3/4” gap between the tiles and any surrounding structures to allow for expansion and contraction.
Finishing Touches: If you purchased edge pieces, snap them into place once the tiles are laid.
Game Line Application: For painted game lines, use painter's tape or 3M 2060 tape to outline the lines. Apply a two-part polyurethane paint for a durable finish.

Our HotShot Hockey Floor Tiles were actually made to be used with regular indoor roller skates or rollerblades. These tiles would not be too slippery for either.
Was this helpful?I bought the hockey tiles. Do you suggest using a rubber hammer to lock the tiles together?
Our HotShot Hockey Floor Tiles do not need a rubber hammer to interlock them. Just simply step on the tiles at the locking mechanism and they will lock together. You can use a rubber hammer if you like, but it is not necessary and a lot more fun to stomp on the floor.

The hockey tiles are awesome. Easy to snap together and easy to clean. My kids love them. I love how inexpensive they were for this budget minded mom. The customer service has been wonderful too. Very caring company.

The tiles are a great find. Easy to snap in and maintain. Our kids have them set up in the carport. We sweep them off when needed, and the kids have a shooting lane for their goal. Our cars drive right on top of them. I’m slowly adding more tiles each month and being able to buy a few at a time has been great.

I started out with 20 tiles for my 3 kids to shoot on in front of the net. Soon enough I was buying more because my kids needed more room to work on shots. They love the tiles. I love that I can drive on them. We have them in our carport. All it takes is a quick sweep and the kids are good to go. I have yet to need to put any spray on them to keep it easy to move on and I have had them several months now. They are easy to put together in minutes.
