More Information

Create the perfect indoor sports facility with our easy-to-install Indoor Basketball Court Tiles. These durable, impact-absorbing modular floor tiles deliver high-performance as basketball court flooring, volleyball flooring, multi-use gymnasium flooring and more. More resilient and far less maintenance than traditional wood floors, our Indoor Basketball Court Tiles eliminate the need for costly gym floor covers, waxing, and refinishing. Made of impact-resistant polypropylene, these portable basketball court tiles ensure colorfastness, durability, and chemical resistance.

These easy-to-sanitize Indoor Basketball Court Tiles are also water-resistant, stain-resistant, and mold/mildew resistant. For added comfort under your new sports flooring, we recommend using our rubber underlayment. This adds desirable bounce and spring, providing athletes with ample shock absorption and enhanced protection from injuries. An impressive 7-year warranty backs our Indoor Basketball Court Tiles. Tiles are approximately 3/8" thick.

Recommended Uses: Our Indoor Basketball Court Tiles are a versatile sports flooring option as basketball court flooring, volleyball flooring, badminton flooring, multi-sport surfacing, and more.

Built to Last – With a Little Extra Care

Our Indoor Basketball Court Tiles are designed for long-lasting performance, even in high-energy environments. Like any sports surface, light scratches may appear over time, but with a few simple steps you can keep your court looking and performing its best:

  • Add a rubber underlayment for extra cushion and protection
  • Use non-marking athletic shoes
  • Place entry mats to stop dirt and grit before it reaches the floor
  • Keep a regular cleaning routine

With the right care, your court will stay sharp, safe, and game-ready for years to come.

Installation Instructions for Indoor Basketball Court Tiles

Preparation

  1. Surface Cleaning:
    • Ensure the subfloor is clean, dry, and free of debris, grease, oil, and other contaminants.
  2. Subfloor Suitability:
    • Suitable for installation over concrete, wood, or any hard, flat surface.
  3. Acclimatization:
    • Allow the Indoor Sports Tiles to acclimate in the installation area for at least 24 hours at room temperature.

Installation

  1. Planning Layout:
    • Lay out the tiles in the desired pattern before snapping them together to ensure you are satisfied with the design.
    • If using multiple colors, plan your pattern ahead of time to avoid mistakes.
  2. Underlayment (Optional):
    • If additional shock absorbency is desired, lay a rubber underlayment on the subfloor before installing the tiles.
  3. Connecting Tiles:
    • Begin installation from one corner of the room and work your way out.
    • Align the tiles so that the tabs of one tile fit into the loops of the next tile.
    • Gently press down until you hear a click, indicating the tiles are locked together.
  4. Cutting to Fit:
    • Trim the tiles to fit around edges and corners using a utility knife and straight edge.
    • Leave a small gap (approximately 1/4 inch) around the edges to allow for expansion and contraction.

Customization

  1. Painting Lines:
    • After the tiles are installed, you can paint lines or other markings to create custom courts.
    • Use a suitable paint for polypropylene surfaces and allow it to dry completely before use.

Post-Installation

  1. Inspection:
    • Inspect the installation to ensure all tiles are securely locked together and edges are properly trimmed.
  2. Initial Cleaning:
    • Clean the floor with a mild soap and water solution to remove any installation debris.

Maintenance

  • Regular Cleaning:
    • Sweep or vacuum regularly to remove loose dirt and debris.
    • Damp mop with a mild soap and water solution for deeper cleaning.
  • Avoid Harsh Chemicals:
    • Do not use harsh chemicals that can damage the polypropylene surface.
  • Check for Damage:
    • Periodically check for any loose or damaged tiles and replace them as needed.
