2. Adjust Sprinklers:

• Cap any sprinklers that won’t be used at the pipe level to prevent leaks.
• Relocate sprinklers if needed, and mark their locations.

3. Base Construction:

• Compact the soil or subgrade if necessary.
• Lay down a 3-inch layer of decomposed granite (DG) for proper drainage. Distribute and level the base, then compact it with a vibrating, tamping, or rolling tool.
• Ensure a smooth, even surface before proceeding.

4. Turf Placement:

• Roll out the turf on the prepared base. If using multiple rolls, ensure the grain of the turf fibers is consistent and trim the edges as needed.

5. Seaming:

• For overlapping seams, use a seaming tool to create an S-shaped cut to avoid visible lines.
• Apply seaming tape with adhesive, ensuring no tape is exposed. Lay the turf edges over the tape and press down.

6. Securing the Turf:

• Stake the turf along the perimeter every 3 feet using landscape spikes.
• Brush the fibers with a stiff-bristled broom to stand them up and create a natural look.
• Optionally, add sand infill for weight and stability.

7. Final Touches:

• Use a power brush to ensure the infill settles evenly.
• Clean up any excess debris.

1. Surface Preparation:

• Ensure the surface is level, clean, and dry. Suitable surfaces include concrete, gypcrete, pressure-treated decking, wood, or backer board.

2. Dry Lay:

6. Curing:

• Allow the installation to stay dry for 72 hours to let the adhesive cure properly.

• Regular Cleaning: Periodically sweep or vacuum the artificial turf to remove loose dirt, dust, and debris.
• Spot Cleaning: For stains or spills, clean with mild soap and water. Avoid harsh chemicals that could damage the turf.
• Brushing: Occasionally brush the turf fibers with a stiff-bristled broom or a power brush to keep them upright and maintain a natural appearance.
