Installation Instructions

Outdoor Installation

1. Surface Preparation:

  • Ensure the surface is level, clean, and dry. Suitable surfaces include concrete, asphalt, pressure-treated decking, and composite decking.

2. Dry Lay:

  • Unroll the turf and lay it out to check for proper fit and alignment. Look for manufacturing details stamped on the backing to determine fiber direction.

3. Adhesive Application:

  • Apply pressure-sensitive adhesive or double-sided tape to the surface.
  • Lay the turf on top, ensuring full contact with the adhesive.

4. Seaming:

  • Apply seam sealer to all seams. Use seaming tape and adhesive with a 1/8” trowel, ensuring the turf edges butt up against each other without trapping the fibers. Press down firmly.

5. Rolling:

  • Use a 75 lb. weighted roller to smooth the turf across its width and length.

6. Curing:

  • Allow the installation to remain in dry conditions for 72 hours to ensure the adhesive cures properly.

7. Non-Infilled Synthetic Lawn Installation:

  • Area Prep:

    • Remove existing grass, sod, and mulch. Mark areas around trees, shrubs, and other obstacles, leaving space around tree bases.
  • Base Construction:

    • Compact the soil or subgrade, then add a 3” thick layer of crushed rock. Level and compact the base using a hand tamper. Allow the area to dry and check for evenness.
  • Turf Placement:

    • Roll out the turf over the prepared base. Ensure fiber grain is consistent if using multiple rolls. Trim edges as needed.
  • Seaming and Securing:

    • Fold and seam turf edges, apply seaming tape and adhesive, and press the edges together. Secure the turf with landscape spikes every 3 feet. Brush the fibers to lift them and achieve a natural look. Sand infill is optional.

Indoor Installation

1. Surface Preparation:

  • Ensure the surface is level, clean, and dry. Suitable surfaces include concrete, gypcrete, pressure-treated decking, wood, or backer board.

2. Dry Lay:

  • Unroll and lay out the turf to check alignment and fiber direction.

3. Adhesive Application:

  • Apply adhesive or double-sided tape to the surface.
  • Lay the turf, ensuring full contact with the adhesive.

4. Seaming:

  • Apply seam sealer to all seams. Use a 75 lb. weighted roller to press the turf into place.

5. Curing:

  • Allow the installation to remain in dry conditions for 72 hours to ensure proper adhesive curing.

Maintenance

1. Regular Cleaning:

  • Sweep or vacuum the turf periodically to remove loose dirt, dust, and debris.

2. Spot Cleaning:

  • For stains or spills, clean with mild soap and water. Avoid using harsh chemicals.

3. Brushing:

  • Occasionally brush the turf fibers with a stiff-bristled broom or power brush to keep them upright and looking natural.
