Installation
- Clean your sub floor so that it is free of all dust, dirt, grease or other foreign material.
- Start in one corner of the room with a corner tile and add border tiles outward along the adjacent walls.
- Add center, corner, and border tiles where you see fit.
Wall to Wall Installation:
- Utility Knife
- Straight Edge
- Clean your subfloor so that it is free of dust, dirt, grease, or other foreign material. It is also recommended that the subfloor be free of moisture when gluing your flooring down.
- Begin laying the interlocking tiles along the chalk lines, snapping the locks together as you go.
- Leave the perimeter of the room open until the field is installed.
- After the field is covered, go back and cut in tiles along the walls in the room. Leaving a gap at the wall roughly the thickness of the tiles being used is often recommended to account for the expansion and contraction of the floor tiles in high-temperature range climates.
Care & Maintenance
- Vacuuming any loose crumbs, dust, or debris from the surface when necessary.
- Occasionally damp mopping with a mild soap and water solution. Recommended soaps are Dawn dish detergent or Tide laundry detergent.
- For stubborn stains and marks, scrubbing of the floor may be necessary. Floor scrubbing brushes with plastic bristles provide the best results.

Will electric subfloor heating pads heat the room, or are these tiles too thick?
If you install our 5/8" Evolution Rubber Tiles over electric subfloor heating, you will not feel the benefits of having it. The rubber will act as an insulator and keep the heat trapped under the tiles.
Was this helpful?Can I lay these on top of concrete patio? If so, do they have channel underneath that allows water to flow through?
You can install our 5/8" Evolution Rubber Tiles over concrete, and they will channel water underneath the tiles. The tiles are somewhat elevated over the subfloor allowing water and other liquids to flow under the tiles and out.
Was this helpful?Would there be any concern with placing a 300-pound treadmill on top of this, since the tiles are not solid? Would this cause damage to the tile? Or should I put something underneath the treadmill feet to distribute the weight across a larger area?
You can place any type of fitness equipment over our 5/8" Evolution Rubber Tiles without it causing damage.

The evolution flooring is a little soft, but overall a nice product. It was easy to install and esthetically pleasing. The company has some ridiculous policy on returns for accessories. I bought some boarder thinking it would be nice witch cost more per piece than the actual mat. After installing my floor like I wanted we felt it would look better with some turf in the middle. I won't be doing business with them again. If you chose to do so, you might put you floor in before ordering the board encase it doesn't work out like you envisioned. Sounds convenient to me.

The only reason I gave this product 2 starts is because the shipping/ purchase was easy and straight forward and I had my flooring in less than a week. The mats are very high quality in regards to the feel and texture. They have great shock absorption and great grippy texture. I purchased close to 100 mats to do a most of very large area ( 40 x 35). I will preface by saying that this isn’t my first run in with installing rubber matting. I have installed both rolled rubber and puzzle locking rubber mats 4x prior to this. These mats are so so so fussy. The rubber “nubs” are extremely and I mean extremely touchy due to temp, moisture, humidity etc. if everything isn’t exactly right you will be sweating and swearing and struggling with every single connection trying to get he pieces to stretch and line up properly. I got about 20 mats in and extremely regretted my decision to purchase. I found that letting the mats acclimate to the room for at LEAST 36 hours helps with the ease of installation. Even then about 1/4 of each mat will probably give you absolute hell trying to lock together. Good product but the lock in design is really a nightmare. I’ve been at this for approx 3 weeks now and am only a little over half way with my install. If you are in a hot climate all year round you probably will have significantly less issues.
