Our new and improved 5/8" Diamond Soft Foam Tiles are the perfect cushioned flooring option for the cost-conscious consumer. Waterproof and insulating, these interlocking foam tiles will provide any area with added warmth, sound reduction, comfort, and traction in several tread plate patterned colors. Easy-to-install and maintain, these interlocking foam flooring tiles are especially great for basements, low-impact home gyms, kid's play areas, and trade-show booths. With 2 included edge pieces per tile each foam tile can be used as a corner, border, or center tile allowing you to customize your foam flooring size wherever needed. Our 5/8" Diamond Soft Foam Tiles are also non-toxic, kid-safe, and are free of allergens, latex, and phthalates.

Please note: Foam flooring products can be punctured by sharp animal nails, rough use, high heels, and moving furniture. Foam tiles may have some minor color variations.

Installation of 5/8" Diamond Soft Foam Tiles interlocking floor tiles is very simple and typically done by the consumer. Typical installation of these tiles is as follows:

First, clean your sub floor so it is free of all dirt, grease or debris.
Start in one corner of the room with a corner tile and add border tiles outward along the adjacent walls. Add center, corner, and border tiles where you see fit.
When coming up to an opposite wall, make sure you cut the tiles to fit the area leaving a gap that’s roughly the thickness of the tiles being used to account for expansion and contraction of the floor tiles in varied temperature ranges.

Please note: When piecing interlocking tiles together, adhesives are usually not used since the weight of the locked together product is usually enough to keep the floor tiles from moving. However, if you do experience movement and would like to ensure that the tiles do not slide at all, some double-sided tape or mat tape can be used around the perimeter of the installation to prevent any movement.

5/8" Diamond Soft Foam Tiles flooring is constructed of durable, closed-cell foam; which means that no liquids can penetrate the surface of the foam tiles.
If the interlocking foam tiles are spilled on or appear dirty, all that is necessary to clean them is a quick wipe of the surface with a damp cloth, or a light mopping and your flooring will look like new.

Our Diamond Soft Tiles do not contain Formamide.

All of our foam soft tiles are easy to cut. Simply use a sharp utility knife, making multiple passes to cut through. Switch out your blade if it becomes dull so that it is easier for you to cut.

Our 5/8" Diamond Soft Tiles will help to reduce the engine noise and vibration, but are not very slip resistant when wet. The best products for areas where water may be present are our rubber products. We have several rubber tiles that would work great for your application. A couple of our most popular are our 8mm Strong Rubber tiles and our 3/8" Sport Lock Rubber Tiles.

The glue that we would recommend for our 5/8" Diamond Soft Tiles is a pressure sensitive glue.

Our Diamond Soft Tiles can be placed over carpet. Over commercial grade carpet, these tiles will have not issues. Over high pile residential carpet, you may see some separation due to the carpet underneath becoming depressed.

Our Diamond Soft Tiles would work perfectly for that application.

Our Diamond Soft Tiles are made of foam and will indent when barbells are dropped on them. If you are ok with the indentations potentially being permanent, you can use these tiles in your gym.

Our 5/8" Diamond Soft Tiles are great over carpet. These tiles work best over low pile carpet but can be installed over plush carpet as well. When installing over a high pile carpet, these tiles can depress creating a small trip hazard, but other than that work just fine as a play area for kids.

Our Diamond Soft Tiles are approximately 13mm thick.

Our 5/8" Diamond Soft Tiles are made for foam and would not stand up to being driven on a daily basis. To get the diamond look and also have a product that will handle both weights being dropped on it and a car being driven on the tiles, we recommend using our Diamond Flex Tiles.

You can install our Diamond Soft Tiles over a heated cement floor. The heat from the floor will not affect the tiles. You will notice that you will not feel the heat from the heating system as much since these tiles will block the heat from penetrating through.

The best way to clean our Diamond Soft Tiles is with a rag and a mild soap and water solution. We recommend using dawn soap or something similar.

Our Diamond Soft Tiles are interlocking on all sides. The images that we have on the sites show the tiles with the interlocking border pieces attached. These come with the tiles and can be removed to create border and center tiles. When both are attached, they create a corner tile.

Our Playground Slide Mats do not have a fall height rating.�

When installing our Diamond Soft Tiles, we recommend placing approximately a 5/8" expansion gap around the tiles to allow for expansion and contraction. In the most extreme conditions, that would be the most extreme difference that we would see.

We don't recommend parking a car or driving a car over our 5/8" Diamond Soft Tiles. These tiles are made from foam and can be damaged easily by car tires. If you would like that look but still want some added comfort underfoot, I would recommend our 5/8" Diamond Plate Evolution Rubber Tiles.

Our 5/8" Diamond Soft Tiles are made with a closed-celled EVA foam.

Our 5/8" Diamond Soft Tiles are mold and mildew resistant.

The color on our 5/8" Diamond Soft Tiles will not come off on your clothes or anything else. The color is baked into the tile.

Our 5/8" Diamond Soft Tiles are not a high-dense foam, so we wouldn't recommend using them under marley flooring as a subfloor for practicing dance. We do have two foam tiles that would work perfectly for this purpose. They are our 3/8" HD Soft Tiles and our 3/4" Premium HD Soft Tiles. Our 5/8" Diamond Soft Tiles are made with closed-cell EVA foam and not cross-linked polyethylene foam.

We don't recommend driving or parking a car on our 5/8" Diamond Soft Tiles. If you wanted a product that has a diamond pattern top that is suitable for this environment, we recommend going with one of our garage tile products. We have a wide range of tiles that have a diamond-patterned top in red.

The Diamond Soft Tiles are great on top of cracked surfaces. Our EVA foam can handle somewhat uneven floors to a great degree because they are somewhat flexible and the foam can absorb some of the unevenness.

Our Diamond Soft Tiles are not the best choice if you are looking for something that your son could not disassemble or easily pick apart. The interlocking foam floors we offer are meant to be easily assembled and disassembled. We do offer some great alternatives that may be exactly what you are looking for! Our Home Cheer Mats and Home Wrestling Mats offer soft flooring that rolls out as one continuous piece and are a soft flooring with a durable surface.

These tiles wouldn't be recommended for use on top of grass. Standing on top of the tile with a soft surface like grass beneath might unlock the tiles from each other. Rolled products like our gym floor covers or even our Dance Flooring is a great option for outdoor events.
