  • Grid-Loc Diamond plate tiles are typically in stock and ready to ship. Orders ship within 2-5 business days of the order being placed.
  • An email will automatically be sent to you with your tracking information as soon as your tiles ship and tracking information becomes available.

Grid-Loc Diamond plate interlocking tiles are easy to maintain. Cleaning of these multiuse tiles typically includes:
  • Vacuuming or sweeping any loose crumbs, dust, or debris from the tiles when necessary.
  • Hose off or damp mop the floor tiles with a mild soap and water mixture for tough or caked on dirt and/or stains.

Diamond Grid-Loc Tiles are easy to install. Installation of these floor tiles typically includes:
  • Clean your sub floor so that it is free of all dirt, dust, grease, or other foreign material.
  • When installing the Grip-Loc tiles, we recommend starting in the front left corner of the room and working your way out from there.
  • Make sure the female side (loops) of the tile is facing away from the wall.
  • After filling the left wall with tiles and the adjacent wall, proceed to fill the rest of the room with whole tiles.
  • When you come up to a wall or object, don’t worry. Just measure the area and cut the tiles with a sharp utility knife and put the trimmed tiles into place.
  • When trimming the tiles into place, make sure you leave about a 3/4” space between the tiles and the wall or obstruction.
  • Once the tiles are in place, you can then snap in the edge pieces, if you purchased them.

    Q:

My garage floor is epoxy painted. Will the floor peel from tire heat? Will the tires stain/scorch the floor under the tile? Will water (rain dripping off the vehicle) get through the joints to the floor underneath?

    A:

Our Diamond Grid-Loc tiles are a hard plastic tile and will keep your epoxy floor protected from the heat of the tires. Water and other liquids will flow between and underneath the tiles to a drain or out of your garage.

    Q:

Will the white tiles yellow over time?

    A:

Our Diamond Grid-Loc Tiles are UV resistant which means they will not fade or change color in direct sunlight. So those white tiles will stay white for as long as you own the tiles.

    Q:

I purchased enough flooring to go under my car so it is not wall to wall. Problem is the tiles slide when I attempt to drive up on them. How to I stop them from sliding ?

    A:

To help prevent your flooring from sliding we recommend placing our 2mm Shockpad under your flooring. This underlay will help to quiet the floor and provide the flooring with the friction it needs to stay in place.

    Q:

How do you clean the tiles. What do you use?

    A:

Our Diamond Grid-Loc Tiles can be easily cleaned with a mild soap and water solution or with a garden hose.

    Q:

I live in Ohio, what happens when the snow and ice (salt) melt from your vehicle onto the garage and get below the tiles? Do you put something underneath the tiles?

    A:

If your garage has a grade to it, the water and salt should flow out of your garage. Since these tiles do allow water to flow under the tiles, you can hose the surface of the tiles allowing water to flow under the tiles. We also sell Auto Floor Guard container mats that help to keep the snow, ice, and salt from getting under the floor.

    Q:

Are there any health concerns as it pertains to the toxicity of the product? Is it a rubber or non-rubber material?

    A:

Our Diamond Grid-Loc Tiles are very safe and are constructed with a hard polypropylene plastic.

    Q:

What preparation is needed for placing tiles on cement cracks in the garage??

    A:

If the cracks in the garage are small cracks with no height variation, then no preparation is needed. If the cracks are large and have a significant difference in height, then leveling your concrete would be necessary. To level your concrete use of a leveling compound is required.

    Q:

If a tile does become damaged in the center of my garage am I able to replace that single damaged tile?

    A:

You can replace a single Diamond Grid-Loc Tile with the use of a paint can opener. Place the opener on one end of the tile and pull up. Once removed, you can place the new tile in its place.

    Q:

How do I remove a few tiles for replacement in the middle of floor ? Chuck

    A:

Do you ship to Canada, we use a lot of dirt on our roads that we scrape off our garage floor in winter, would we be able to scrape off the Diamond tiles?

    Q:

I like the black and white tile, is it suitable for a barbershop and can I place in over linoleum?

    A:

Our Diamond Grid-Loc Tiles would work as flooring in a barber shop. Due to the extended amount of standing that is required to cut a person's hair, we would recommend going with our Diamond Flex Tiles which provide more comfort under foot. Our Diamond Grid-Loc Tiles can be placed on a linoleum floor.

    Q:

Will liquid go in between the cracks on the Diamond Grid-Loc Tiles?

    A:

Liquids are able to penetrate between our Diamond Grid-Loc Tiles when installed.

    Q:

Do I need to lay an underlayment on the floor first? Also how critical is leaving a half inch space between tile and wall?

    A:

An underlayment is not necessary under our Diamond Grid-Loc Tiles. We do recommend placing a rubber underlay under these tiles to help reduce noise and also add extra comfort under foot. The 1/2" expansion gap is necessary for areas where there is no temperature control. If the area where the flooring is installed is temperature controlled and void of any direct sunlight, you wouldn't necessarily need the expansion gap. We do recommend having an expansion gap in all installations due to the fact that things do happen and you never know when your air conditioner or heater might fail. If you are installing this floor in a room in your home, you can cover the expansion gap with a quarter round which will hide the gap and create a nice finished look.

    Q:

How does this tile hold up in a non-heated garage during the winter in Michigan.

    A:

Our Diamond Grid-Loc Tiles are made with a hard polypropylene plastic that is ideally suited for any garage. These tiles are resistant to most household and vehicle chemicals and will not get brittle in freezing temperatures. Snow, ice, and salt are not a problem for these tiles either as they allow any melted snow and ice to flow through and under the floor allowing for the water to run out of your garage or to a drain.

    Q:

Are the diamond grid-lock titles slip resistant? Would they keep wet tires from sliding?

    A:

Our Diamond Grid-Loc Tiles are slip resistant. The diamond pattern is what helps to keep the tiles slip resistant even when wet. This does not mean that your tiles will not slip under all conditions, but under most conditions, these diamond pattern will give your tires the proper amount of grip.

    Q:

Are these tile good for making an aerobic exercise platform, to be used on top of a carpeted floor ?

    A:

Our Diamond Grid-Loc Tiles are a hard plastic tile that may not give you the type of give you are looking for. Also, even though they feature a diamond patterned top, they still may not give you the type of traction you need for your exercises. For those types of exercises, we recommend going with one our rubber flooring options.

    Q:

Can these tiles be installed over a dirt floor? I have a detached garage with dirt floors right now. I plan to tamp down those floors, add pea gravel, tamp that down, then install a vapor barrier, shock pad, and rubber tiles. Is this an option?

    A:

Ideally, we would recommend installing our Diamond Grid-Loc Tiles over concrete or asphalt. When placed over dirt, there is potential for the tiles to embed themselves into the dirt. This may create an uneven surface that is unsightly and not the safest.

    Q:

Will oil, gear oil, or transmission fluid damage the tiles or stain them?

    A:

Our Diamond Grid-Loc Tiles are resistant to most car and household chemicals. Oil, gear oil , and transmission fluid would not stain these tiles.

    Q:

My garage floor is made up of 6 concrete slabs all separated by expansion joints. Can this flooring be put over the expansion joints without filling them. I was really hoping to avoid having to fill the joints by finding a flooring that is strong enough to go directly over them without damage or deform with the weight of a car over the joints.

    A:

Our Diamond Grid-Loc Tiles can be installed over your expansion joints without filling in the expansion joint. These tiles are made from hard plastic polypropylene and would be strong enough to keep their integrity when installing over your expansion joints.

    Q:

I just ordered your diamond grid-loc tiles and the shock rubber underlayment. My question is with the underlayment and moisture. I live in the Midwest and see plenty of rainy days and snow, and often the cars bring water into the garage. The water currently mostly seeps into the cement, and the rest evaporates quickly. I bought the underlayment for the sound issue but do not want mold brewing beneath my floor. Do I want to make sure this underlayment is sealed at the seams to prevent any water underneath it or would it be prudent to cut the underlayment along the expansion joints of the floor (where the water normally goes and disappears quickly)to let the water drain? It seems letting water underneath these mats would cause mold issues on the concrete but also water sitting on top of the rubber would take a long time to evaporate. Please advise. Thanks.

    A:

Mold would not grow under our Shock Pad when installing under your Diamond Grid-Loc Tiles. Rubber inherently mold and mildew resistant and will not harbor either of them. The only time you will see mold is there was food left on the underlay. Water will easily evaporate from the rubber. Since this material is also somewhat porous, the water will also flow down to the concrete below. No cutting or sealing would need to be made.

    Q:

If i put this in my basement and some water gets under it will the mold and mildew be a problem?

    A:

Our Diamond Grid-Loc Tiles are resistant to mold and mildew growth and would not promote either if water were to get under the tiles. The only time you would see mold or mildew growth would be if there were some organic material under the tiles.

    Q:

I often have wet cars in my garage. The floor slopes slightly towards a drain in the middle of the floor. Can I use titles? Do you have special cut outs for drains? or should I just use vented tiles?

    A:

You can use our Diamond Grid-Loc Tiles in a garage where there will be water and a slope. Since these tiles allow water to flow between and under the floor, you don't necessarily need to use one of the Vented Grid-Loc Tiles, but you can interlock our Vented Grid-Loc Tiles with our Diamond Grid-Loc Tiles for that purpose.

    Q:

Live in the northeast where tiles will be exposed to road salt and melting road slop dripping on the garage floor. Is this product suitable for these type of conditions on occasion or any recommendations?

    A:

Our Diamond Grid-Loc Tiles have been installed all over the US and Canada with great success. These tiles are made from the same PVC plastic used for piping in your home. These tiles are freeze/thaw stable and are resistant to most household and vehicle chemicals. So they would work great installed in a garage in the Northeast.

    Q:

I live in northern ny. We get a lot of snow and the state uses a lot of salt on the roads. How does this product hold up against salt, sand and snow?

    A:

Our Diamond Grid-Loc Tiles have been used all over the US and Canada and hold up excellently to all types of climates. These tiles are made from a hard polypropylene plastic and are resistant to most household and vehicle chemicals. So salt, sand, and snow will not be a problem for these tiles.

    Q:

What type of jig saw or circular saw blade is best to use for cutting the tiles? Also would a Dremel Tool work in cutting the tiles and if so what is the best blade to use.

    A:

For our Diamond Grid-Loc Tiles, a Laminate Blade is the best blade type to use. We do recommend running the blade at a lower speed and with some silicone or water to help alleviate the melting that occurs when cutting these tiles with blades. You can use a Dremel Tool to cut these tiles as well. The type of blade you would use is one that cuts both wood and plastic.

    Q:

What do you suggest for an underlayment? I am worried about noise and shifting of tiles.

    A:

We recommend using our 2mm ShockPad under our Diamond Grid-Loc Tiles or you can use our 1/8" thick Eco-Flec Rolls. Both will give you ample noise reduction and will keep the floor from shifting.

WHAT A DIFFERENCE.. I love it.
5/5 Diamond Grid-Loc Tiles
Jesus Velazquez from Jacksonville Florida
They say pictures is worth a thousand words…. Well these pictures are worth ten thousand words and then some.

I cannot say enough on how happy I am with the way my floors turned. I have a custom show car, that was parked inside a UGLY one car garage, till I came across Rubber Flooring Inc. The first thing that caught my intention was the price. I have priced out tile snap on’s at local stores and the price Rubber Flooring had was by far MUCH cheaper. Cheaper enough for me to say,, Hey I think it’s time I remodel my garage. I got some free samples mailed to me and I WAS SOLD. This is not one of those things you get what you pay for.. The quality on these tiles are great. I am not a Do it yourself home improvement type of guy, however I was able to do this all by myself in less than 2 hrs. I was so in love with the way it looked.. I decided to decorate the garage all the way around lol..

Good bang for your buck
4/5 Diamond Grid-Loc Tiles
Poolster from New York, NY
Garage looks outstanding! Everything came perfectly. Installation was pretty easy. When cutting tile, first tried a box cutting blade but it was too arduous. The jigsaw worked great and cut my time exponentially. Stomping on the tile to join them worked most effectively. Having a rubber mallet handy proved beneficial for the edges. These tiles are durable but not soft. You will hear the flexing of the tiles when walking on them but since they'll be in the garage it's an easy trade-off. Would highly recommend. I've seen some waterproof tiles but they were at least twice the price and required a lot more prep and finish. Excellent customer service!

New garage floor
5/5 Diamond Grid-Loc Tiles
DG from Cumming, GA
My wife and I installed the Diamond Grid-Loc tile floor in our three car garage over a weekend. It turned out fantastic! The pattern I designed on the web site looked even better in real life! The floor was easy to install and just as easy to cut with a table saw. After reading other reviews I decided to lay roofing felt down to help reduce any cracking/popping sound when walking or driving on it. This was a very inexpensive, ($15.00/roll) solution and I'm very pleased. I would highly recommend this flooring over epoxy or paint hands down. My friends and family can't believe how great my floor looks. I love it!

New garage floor
5/5 Diamond Grid-Loc Tiles
Jim P from Fort Worth, Texas
As I made the decision to tile my garage floor I looked and pretty much all the tile and other flooring options. In fact I actually bought the epoxy paint online and later decided I wanted something nicer. I sampled the tile options and quickly came to the conclusion that there was no better value for the money. I added an under layment and started laying my orange and black checkerboard patterned tiles. They went down amazingly east and looks great. Pulled my 900lb Harley in as well as a very heavy toolbox with, other than some dust, no marks at all. Not that I expected any. Broom or blower is all that's needed to clean up and spills just wipe up. The tiles fit very tight together. The only question for me was why I waited so long to install these. Absolutely love it!
