Our 1/2" Diamond Top Dog Kennel Mats offer an excellent rubber matting solution designed for use in horse, and livestock barns. These durable rubber mats also work well as dog kennel mats, doggie daycare flooring, trailer flooring, and truck bed liners. The Diamond top pattern helps to provide an excellent anti-slip floor surface, and these interlocking mats will not harbor or grow any bacteria. The 1/2" thick diamond top rubber mat is easy to install and is backed by an industry-leading 12-year warranty to guarantee its durability. In addition, these insulating rubber mats help to keep hooves and paws from damage from cold hard subfloors and help to reduce bedding costs in barns. Note : These interlocking animal mats are not designed to be used as gym mats and are not recommended for that purpose.
Material - Diamond top interlocking mats are constructed of recycled crumb rubber from used car tires that is then vulcanized. Vulcanization means that the interlocking stall mats are heated back together under pressure to form one solid non-porous mat rather than a rebounded mat, which is essentially glued back together. This is the process that forms the strongest and most long-lasting recycled rubber mats or floor products available.

Do the mats come in different sizes. Can they be cut?
Our 1/2" Diamond Top Dog Kennel Mats come in 4 sizes. If these sizes do not work for your application you can cut these mats with a sharp utility knife.
Was this helpful?How large are each of the individual mats that are fitted together? Can two 12' X 12' mats be joined together to be used for a 10' X 20' dog kennel/playground? Can the kennel frame be placed on top of the mat to avoid a tempting corner for avid chewers? Can I use the mats along with pet turf (on top of mats or side by side)?
With our 1/2" Diamond Top Dog Kennel Mat Kits, custom sizes can be made to cover the space you would like to cover without having to combine multiple mat kits together. A kennel frame can be placed over our mats to keep the corners of the mat from being chewed on by pets. Any of our turf can be used in conjunction with our mat kits.
Was this helpful?Is this waterproof for dog urine? Or does liquid go through the interlock sections?
The 1/2" Diamond Top Dog Kennel Mats are water resistant but not waterproof. The tiles do interlock very tightly but if liquid is left at the seam of the tiles for a period of time, liquid can get through. These tiles are non-porous, so no liquids will get in the tiles making them great for doggy day cares and kennels.

We recommend using Dawn dish detergent or a laundry detergent. Do not use any solvent or oil-style cleaners such as Lysol, Pine-Sol, WD40, Murphy’s Oil Soap, paint thinners, etc. since these types of cleaners will break down these mats over time.

We ordered these mats for our large cat enclosure. They arrived promptly and are exactly as advertised. They are heavy duty and should hold up well. The only negative is they are VERY heavy. :) Our rescue is very pleased and will be ordering more of these products as needed.
