  • What is the best surface to put under rubber tiles.

    You can install our 1" Horse Stall Tiles over any hard, flat surface. We recommend installing our rubber flooring over concrete, asphalt, or plywood.

  • Are these super dense and solid 1" construction? Or do the bottoms have a honeycomb or other type of construction?

    Our 1" Horse Stall mats don't have a honeycomb bottom and are a solid construction throughout. They aren't super dense as they are semi-porous and will allow water and other liquids to pass through them. They are very durable but are not vulcanized, which would give you the densest and solid tile construction.

  • Could a skid steer be used on this without damaging it? If so is there any rubber flooring that would hold up to a skid steer?

    You could use a Skid Steer on our 1" Horse Stall Tiles. As long as the bucket was not used on the tiles, you could drive back and forth on these tiles with this machinery as much as you like. We do offer a wide range of hard plastic tiles too that would be good for driving over them with a Skid Steer Loader as well. You can find those products on our garage floor tiles page.

    Our 1" Horse Stall Tiles are water permeable meaning they are porous and will allow liquids to flow through the tiles.

    This was a reinstall after a water pipe broke in the stable. Unfortunately we don't have any before pictures that we could share.

    I like everything about these tiles but I was not able to find how to arrange them so the end pieces would match up and interlock with adjacent pieces. any advice/instruction?

    These tiles are very easy to install and cut to fit. Even my 2 year old wanted to get in on it. Like a big jigsaw puzzle. The shipping also was super quick. So far they are holding up pretty well for being outside. I do have a couple of complaints which are mostly due to it being outdoors, so beware if you are thinking of putting it outside. Cons #1 Although most of the product is protected under a deck at times the sun peeks through from different angles and in the sun the tiles are bubbling up in crazy ways. For the most part they go down when the sun goes away but it is pulling on the connections and causing the edges to also arch. #2 when the tiles get wet they are SUPER slippery. #3 Very minor but the edge pieces did have to be cut to fit together into a big large mat, as some other reviewers noted they are only setup to work with 4 tiles at once into a square format. #4 The coloring on the tiles is not the same, we ordered 3 boxes but even in a single box some are lighter shades then others, this makes it look a bit odd but not enough that I would send them back.
