Our 3/4" Diamond Top Horse Mats were originally designed to be used as horse stall mats however these mats have quickly become a multi-use barn and animal mat and are frequently used for cows, pigs, and dogs as well. These rubber horse mats have a diamond top pattern design for added traction and will not harbor or grow bacteria. The equine mats are also easy to install, help reduce bedding costs in barns as well as help to keep animals safe and protected from cold hard subfloors. The diamond top interlocking mats also come with an industry-leading 12-year warranty.

Material – Diamond top mats are constructed of recycled crumb rubber that is revulcanized. Revulcanization means that the rubber mats are essentially heated back together to form one solid non-porous mat rather than glued back together. This is the process that forms the strongest and most durable recycled rubber mats available.

Recommended Uses: The 3/4” thick diamond top mats have demonstrated their versatility as high-quality animal and barn matting solutions, being widely adopted for horse stalls, cow and pig enclosures, as well as for horse trailer flooring. Moreover, these premium mats have been successfully employed as dog kennel flooring, and even as a reliable training surface. In essence, these mats are the ultimate solution for any pet, barn, or animal matting requirements.

Note : These interlocking mats are not designed to be used as gym mats and are not generally recommended for that purpose.

Installation of stall mats is very simple and easy and commonly done by the consumer. Installation for your floor is as follows: Our mats can be placed over concrete, asphalt, wood or any level well-compacted surface. You can also install them over decomposed granite and limestone fines. For limestone fines, make sure the fines do not exceed 1/8” in size. Once your subsurface is prepared, use the stall diagram provided. Since rubber expands and contracts in extreme temperatures, we recommend a 1/4” to 1/2” gap between the edge of the mat and the wall.

Installation of stall mats is a straightforward process that can be easily performed by the avid do it yourself advocate. Here are the steps to follow:

Our mats can be installed over various surfaces, such as concrete, asphalt, wood, or any level well-compacted surface, including decomposed granite and limestone fines (as long as the fines do not exceed 1/8" in size).
After preparing the subsurface, use the provided stall diagram to guide the placement of the mats.
To account for rubber expansion and contraction in extreme temperatures, we recommend leaving a 1/4" to 1/2" gap between the mat edge and the wall.
Once the mat is in place, a small amount of bedding can be added, and your horse can enter the stall.

Vacuuming any loose dust, dirt, or debris from the flooring surface when necessary. Occasional damp mopping of the rolls with a mild soap and water mixture. Some soaps commonly used include Dawn dish detergent and/or Tide laundry detergent. Note: Do not use any solvent or oil style cleaners such as Pinesol, Lysol, Murphy’s Oil Soap, WD40, paint thinner, etc. since these types of cleaners will break down the flooring over time

Our rubber mats can be cut with a sharp utility knife. For straight cuts, a T-square is recommended.

The reason we don't recommend our 3/4" Diamond Top Horse Mat Kits for gym use is due to the smell. These mats do have a smell mitigator in them which helps to decrease the very potent rubber smell that can come from products made from recycled rubber. Due to this one fact and not the actual material is why we don't recommend these mats in any indoor environment.

All you would need to do to the concrete slab is make sure it is clean of any large dirt and debris.

Our 3/4" Diamond Top Horse Mats are perfect for outdoor use. These mats are non-porous meaning they will not harbor any mold or mildew and are water resistant. These mats are very thick and super durable, so it will be very tough for a dog to dig or chew this very easily.

You can install our 3/4" Diamond Top Horse Mats over a level gravel bed. These mats can be installed over any level surface with ease.

You can expect our 3/4" Diamond Top Horse Mat Kits to expand and contract 3/4" to and 1" in extreme hot or cold weather.

You can install our 3/4" Diamond Top Horse Mat Kits over dirt as long as it is virtually flat. We recommend installing our horse mats over solid, flat surfaces like concrete, asphalt, wood, or any other hard flat surface.

You can use our 3/4" Diamond Top Horse Mat Kits for Olympic Lifting. These mats are made from the same material as all of our other vulcanized mats can withstand the dropping of heavy weights and will help to protect the subfloor below. These mats are also very shock absorbent which is also great on your joints for plyometrics.

You can install our 3/4" Diamond Top Horse Mat Kits in a horse trailer. These tiles are non-porous making them very easy to clean and sanitize. These tiles interlock very tightly, and when installed properly, urine and water have a very tough time getting to the subfloor below. These rubber tiles are mold and mildew resistant and are very slip resistant and are more slip resistant when wet.

Our Diamond Top Horse Mat Kits are not one-piece mats. These mats come in kits that contain multiple tiles.

Our 3/4" Diamond Top Horse Mat Kits do have a rubber smell to them. They were designed for outdoor use, so their smell is a little more than our standard residential rubber flooring. To help dissipate this rubber smell, we recommend mopping our rubber flooring with a mild soap and water solution with a synthetic mop head. You will then want to let the flooring air dry in a well-ventilated space. You may have to repeat this a few times to really dissipate the smell.

The kit comes with corner, border, and center tiles to create a solid looking mat. All of these tiles interlock with each other.

Our 3/4" Diamond Top Horse Mat Kits are shipped via an LTL truck, which is just a small semi-truck. When your order is ready to deliver, the shipper will contact you to set up your delivery window. Our standard delivery is a curbside delivery with a lift gate, which is just like a small elevator on the back of the semi-truck. Our 3/4" Diamond Top Horse Mat Kits were designed to be used in horse stalls and stables. So they are able to take the abuse from a horse quite well. You can secure them if you like, but these tiles are pretty heavy and would stay interlocked on their own due to the overall weight of the kit. These horse stall kits are one of our most popular horse stall kits for this very use and have been installed all over the US and Canada with great success.

Our 3/4" Diamond Top Horse Mat Kits have a flame spread rating of Class III. We don't typically recommend using these in a gym as they do have a very strong smell. We do offer a number of stall mats that would be perfect for gym settings. Some great alternatives to these mat kits are our 3/4" Premium Extreme Mats, 3/4" Extreme Mats, and our 3/4" Shock Tiles.

The aluminum vapor barrier of the Silent Silver makes it a great option under all flooring, including rubber flooring.�

A car can drive over our 3/4" Diamond Top Horse Mat Kits. Since these mats are made from rubber, you will have to make sure that any oils that drip from your car are cleaned up right away. Oil over time can break down the mats. If your vehicle does leak oil, we recommend placing one of our Nitro Rolls or an AutoFloorGuard mat under the car to prevent oil from reaching the tiles.
