ProStep Dance Floor Package with Subfloor is easy to clean and maintain. Cleaning of this flooring typically includes:
  1. Sweeping or vacuuming any loose crumbs, dust, or debris from the floor when necessary.
  2. Light damp mopping to remove light staining or spills. Remove scuffs and excessive soil by carefully scrubbing.
  3. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, as discoloration may occur. We recommend closing blinds or drapes during peak sunlight hours to prolong the life of the floor.
Note:This is not a stain-proof product. Leaving certain harsh chemicals or spills on the floor for an extended time may cause some staining and/or damage. Always clean up a spill immediately to reduce the chance of staining or other damage to your flooring.
When installing your dance floor package, please follow these simple steps:
  1. First, you will want to clean your main subfloor so that it is free of all dust, dirt, and debris.
  2. Loose lay your rolls in the room as you would like them to look after a complete installation. Let the rolls relax for up to 24-48 hours to ensure proper installation of your new flooring.
  3. Begin by installing the subfloor tiles by interlocking them together to form the space upon which your Marley dance floor will go.
  4. Since this is a reversible dance roll, you may install either side facing up depending on what you prefer.
  5. When laying the vinyl dance floor roll on top of the foam tile subfloor, you should have excess roll material surrounding the tiles. This 'perimeter' is to be taped down to your main floor using our Mat Tape provided, creating a 'ramp' or 'tapered' installation. You can also trim the dance roll to your size preference if you prefer not to have a taper.
  6. Please note: If you are installing on top of carpet, you may need to cut your dance rolls to fit just inside the subfloor tiles’ perimeter and tape the rolls to the tiles.
  7. For installations with multiple rolls, you will need to use our Mat Tape to tape together the seams where the rolls touch, ensuring a flat transition where the rolls meet.
Note: It is normal to receive an extra few inches on each roll. This allows for potential material contraction from the time it is cut to the time of installation. Be sure to let product properly acclimate prior to installation.

Rolls are guaranteed to be free from manufacturing defects. We recommend inspecting the floors prior to installation to ensure no defect upon arrival. Faulty installation, improper use and normal wear are not cause for warranty claim. For printable warranty information, please Click Here.

Don't see what you're looking for?
Is it good for pointe shoes
We'd recommend using a hard plastic tile subfloor for use with pointe shoes since the foam tiles can provide a bit of 'squish' which may not be desirable for pointe ballet.
can this be laid over thin carpet?
nicole jurgensen
The carpet would need to be very dense like a commercial carpet or you could lay plywood down first for a solid, flat base.
Is this good to go over a concrete floor?
Yes that would be fine!
How thick is the subfloor tiles?
Jennifer
We have two different options: 3/8" & 3/4".
Will this work over tile for tap and clogging
Kaye Prokosch
No, this flooring is not recommended for use with hard soled shoes.
Will this flooring be good for a dance studio? We just expanded and looking for cheap + safe options for our dancers, until we can install the floating subfloor.
Melissa
Yes, please see recommended uses to be sure this product is perfect for all dance styles within your studio.
are the tiles utility grade, can car drive over it?
Denise
No this product cannot be driven over.
I have tile in my basement, and am wanting to make a dance room down there. I usually dance bare-footed. Would this be a good choice for me?
Bev
Yes that would be fine.
Can this floor be used outside?
Amanda
Temporary use would be fine but we would not recommend this for long term outdoor use.
Can I use the "Marley flooring" on cement in direct sunlight for barefoot dancing?
Kelly Carrol
You can but we would recommend a more comfortable subfloor as you would definitely feel that you are dancing directly overtop of concrete.
Which side of the foam tiles should be facing up? The smooth gray side or the textured black side?
The textured side faces up.
Is this floor suitable for turning?
Jayden
For turning, we'd recommend using a hard plastic tile subfloor since the foam tiles can provide a bit of 'squish,' which may not be desirable for turns.
Would this be ok in a very wet environment, like a pool deck?
James Thomas
We would not recommend using our ProStep Dance Floor Package with Subfloor in a wet environment like a pool deck. Our ProStep rolls are vinyl rolls and would be very slick when wet, causing a slip hazard.

Perfect, fast, high quality, everything was included, instructions were clear... My daughter, who is a high school senior dance student loves the floor. She is making her college entrance audition tapes from home this year and needed a floor where she could practice and display Modern, Ballet, and Pointe techniques correctly. Bravo !! oh btw - she has been accepted to nearly every school she applied to :) Sincerely, Proud Papa

  ProStep floor for Irish dance
Verified Purchase
Self-installed in Basement
Anonymous from Dover, NH wrote...
I like it in general. Not the best application for Irish Dance. Heels make deep dents in the floor. Would also not recommend the foam subfloor. This badly muffled the sound. Rolling out directly on plywood worked much better. I don’t think the floor will last very long with heavy shoes but would be quite nice for soft shoes
