More Information

Our 3/4" Home Dance Subfloor tiles offer twice the thickness of our 3/8" Home Dance Subfloor tiles and are perfect for use in the home or dance studio. Portable dance subfloors add dense cushioning for dancers, without losing the support that is needed for balance and landings. While this budget-friendly dance floor subfloor is NOT recommended for use with pointe, it can be used for beginner and intermediate ballet, jazz, modern dance styles, and tap if used with Rosco Adagio Rolls vinyl dance flooring. These tiles are incredibly easy to install and can be put up anywhere in the home or for use on the go. Pairs perfectly with any Marley dance floor rolls, such as Rosco Adagio, Rosco Adagio Tour, ProStep Dance Floor Rolls and VersaStep Dance Floor Rolls.

Details

When installing your 3/4" Home Dance Subfloor Tiles, please follow these simple steps:
  • First you will want to clean your main sub floor so that it is free of all dust, dirt, and debris.
  • Install the subfloor tiles by interlocking them together to form a rectangle space upon which your Marley dance floor will go.
  • Laying the vinyl dance floor roll on top of the foam tile subfloor, you may have excess roll material surrounding the tiles. If so, this perimeter is to be taped down to your main floor using Mat Tape, creating a 'ramp' or 'tapered' installation.
  • If you do not have excess roll material surrounding the tiles, you will do something a little bit different. You will need to tape down the perimeter of your dance floor roll directly to the subfloor tiles using Mat Tape. This will create a flat surface and you will see the edges of your subfloor tiles.
  • For installations with multiple rolls, you may also tape together the seams where the rolls touch, ensuring a flat transition where the rolls meet.

Questions

Customer Questions And Answer
For pointe, these foam tiles would not be recommended as they may be too soft when used alone. We recommend our Premium subfloor option, which includes a plastic tile surface in addition to the foam tile base, covered of course by a Marley roll.
For vinyl rolled dance floor, yes you can. For traditional vinyl plank or tile flooring, we would not recommend.
Our Home Dance Subfloor Tiles are a wonderful subfloor option for many dance styles, and help to lessen joint pain. We do recommend rolling out the vinyl roll over top.
When the tiles interlock, you would technically lose some space. Two tiles would cover ~ 1' 11" x 3' 10". The next size up would be 6 tiles, covering ~ 3' 10" x 5' 9".
The tiles are dense and durable enough for tap and turns.
