Installation
- Clean your sub floor so that it is free of all dirt, dust, grease, or other foreign material.
- When installing the tiles, we recommend starting in the front left corner of the room and working your way out from there.
- Make sure the female side (loops) of the tile is facing away from the wall.
- After filling the left wall with tiles and the adjacent wall, proceed to fill the rest of the room with whole tiles.
- When you come up to a wall or object, don’t worry. Just measure the area and cut the tiles with a sharp utility knife and put the trimmed tiles into place.
- When trimming the tiles into place, make sure you leave about a 3/4” space between the tiles and the wall or obstruction.
- Once the tiles are in place, you can then snap in the edge pieces, if you purchased them.
Care & Maintenance
- Vacuuming or sweeping any loose crumbs, dust, or debris from the Practice Dance Tiles when necessary.
- Hose off or damp mop the floor tiles with a mild soap and water mixture for tough or caked on dirt and/or stains.

Can these be installed over carpet? I would like to do a dance floor for my daughters in a spare room But do not want to remove the carpeting
These tiles can be installed over carpet with a sturdy, flat subfloor like a sheet of plywood or our dance subfloor tiles in between the carpet and the tiles.

They can be used outdoors temporarily but they are not meant to be outside for long periods of time as they are not weather resistant.

If you are looking for a subfloor to put under our Tap Dance Tiles, we would recommend using our Home Dance Subfloor Tiles in either 3/8" or 3/4".

This flooring was inexpensive and relatively easy to put together. We didn’t opt to get the pads for underneath but once we received it we decided to buy some from Home Depot (didn’t have time to order it from here). I’d recommend the padding for sound and comfort. I’m hoping it holds up well and “settles” a few of the joints aren’t as smooth as some of the others but overall I’m very pleased.

I bought this flooring to put into an extra living room we don’t use much and it’s the perfect tap dance floor and great for other types of dance and working out! I put it on top of an existing rug and it has worked out great with me and my husband dancing on it at the same time! Absolutely zero sliding!! I haven’t had to clean floor yet-it’s holding up well and I have 2 large dogs that love to come and hang out with me. I was worried about their claws but no biggie at all!! Doesn’t affect floor one bit! I am very excited about this and so glad I took a chance!

Purchased these when we had the opportunity to buy dance Marley but didn’t have the properly flooring for underneath. They could be what difficult to snap together but once you figure that it was easy. My daughter loves to dance and this will help her practice at home.
