Our 5 mm pre-cut rubber underlayment offers superior sound insulation at the best price. 5 mm rubber underlayment has been shown to outperform all leading forms of underlayment including 12 mm cork and 12 mm foam. Rubber is great to use in areas that are at and above grade and is a great underlayment in areas where water may be present. This flooring underlayment is also mold and mildew resistant which is due to the fact that rubber does not hold water. This sound proofing underlayment can also be installed directly over concrete or wood and does not have to be adhered to the system via adhesive. You can also float the underlayment in a free floating assembly.

Material - Comprised of 100% recycled material.

Width - 4 feet wide per roll. Length - Our pre-cut rubber underlayment comes in 25' lengths.

Thickness - 5 mm (Approx. 3/16").

Our 5mm Pre-Cut Rubber Underlayment is 100% recycled, but is not the best material for a mat. We do offer a wide range of mats that are also recycled. Depending on what you are wanting to do on the mat, determines which one would be appropriate for you. All of our rubber mats are anti-skid and can be found on our Rubber Mats page.

Since Mannington's Realta 12" Rigid Core Vinyl Planks have an attached pad, you wouldn't need to add another underlayment under your flooring.

You can install our 5mm Pre-Cut Rubber Underlayment over a Schluter system like Ditra. You would follow the instructions for installing the Schluter product and the underlayment for the flooring type you are trying to install.
