Description - Our extreme mats are constructed of highly durable and shock absorbent recycled rubber. These rubber mats are designed to protect flooring from heavy free weight lifters who occasionally drop weights onto the floor. These straight-edged rubber mats are heavy enough to offer a permanent gym flooring solution by butting them together and using double-sided carpet tape to prevent them from sliding. Extreme mats can also offer a portable gym mat solution as well when they are needed for heavy powerlifting sessions. They are safe to use indoors and outdoors and are guaranteed to last for many years to come.
Material – Recycled crumb rubber and colored EPDM virgin rubber flecks.
Size – 3' x 4', 4' x 6', & 4' x 8'
Thickness – 3/4 Inch
Weight – Each 3' x 4' rubber extreme mat weighs approximately 48 Lb, each 4' x 6' rubber extreme mat weighs approximately 96 Lbs, and each 4' x 8' rubber extreme mat weighs approximately 128 Lbs.
Recommended Uses – Extreme rubber weight lifting mats have been used successfully as commercial gym mats, semi-portable exercise mats, in ice rinks and baseball dugouts to provide spike and blade protection, in locker rooms and at golf courses. When you are in search of the most durable rubber mats available at discount prices, these are the rubber mats for you.

Rubber extreme mats can be easily cleaned in two ways. Maintenance of these rubber gym mats typically includes:
  • Vacuuming any loose crumbs, dust, or debris from the rubber mat surface when necessary.
  • Occasional damp mopping of the exercise mats with a mild soap and water solution. A few recommended soaps are Dawn dish detergent or Tide laundry detergent.
Note: Do not use any solvent or oil style cleaners such as Pinesol, Lysol, Murphy’s Oil Soap, WD40, paint thinner, etc. since these types of cleaners will break down the flooring over time.

Can these mats be easily cut?
Our 3/4" Extreme Mats can be cut with a sharp utility knife. These mats are thick, so several cuts may be necessary.
I want to use it in my kitchen when I work out bc I live on a 2nd floor apt house. Does this move or is it heavy & stays in place? I had once bought it from elsewhere & that thing was supe light and slippery.
Our 3/4" Extreme Mats would work perfectly as a workout mat on a second floor and are very heavy and would not move around. These mats are 96 pounds apiece.
Will the mats start to sink if heavy equipment is placed on them?
Our 3/4" Extreme Mats will not indent from heavy equipment being placed on them.
Do these mats have an odor? Looking to use as flooring on new cargo van and don't want strong odors ruin the ride.
Our 3/4" Extreme Mats do have a smell to them. To help abate this, we recommend cleaning the mat with a mild soap and water solution and letting the mat air dry. You may have to do this a few times to get rid of the rubber smell.
What is the heaviest amount of weight that can be dropped on these mats without damaging the floor below? I would be putting them on top of a solid slab of concrete.
Kiel Higgins
We haven't tested out what the maximum weight that could be dropped on our 4' x 6' Extreme Mats, but we can assure that you can drop pretty much any weight dumbbell or kettlebell on our mats and it would not damage the floor underneath doing normal exercises. These rubber mats are our most popular mats for Cross Fit gyms, so if it works well for them with all of the weighted activities they do, then these mats will be perfect for any install anywhere.

Not as good as the Shock Mat
Self-installed in Gun Room

The quality of these mats are excellent. However, when they were shipped they had the top (visiable) surface on the wood side of the pallet which left permanent wear marks on the mat. The top mat was also left exposed and at some point another pallet was placed on top and it too had permanent marks left in it. So my room had two somewhat damaged mats which made the entire room look cheap and cobbled together. I ended up buying two more mats to replace the pallet damaged ones. In another room I bought the slightly more expensive Shock mat (entirely a mistake on my part) and it is worth the extra money. It doesn’t flake off and the exposed side is much more durable. The Extreme mats made a huge mess in the room with tiny bits of rubber being sluffed off each time it was walked on. It eventually subsided but the Shock mats were better quality, slightly heavier, and were good to go from day one. Both mats I cut with a utility knife, I highly recommend getting the T-square type straight edge to help with cuts. Keep the knife sharp, start from the side facing down and avoid cutting all the way through the mat. It will take up to 4 passes depending on the thickness of your mat (mine was 3/4”). Once deep enough turn the mat over and make one clean cut from the exposed side of the mat. Your lines will be much straighter and the install will look professional.
  great home gym product

This is a great product for a home gym. It arrived quickly and there is plenty of cushion for aerobic and weight training. It is on a concrete floor. The only complaint is that there are small flecks that stick to your clothing. The edges roll up a bit so we put weights on them to flatten. double sided carpet tape would probably work.
  Love them!
