Description - Our Stone Flex tiles provide you with the look and feel of natural stone without the cold hard feeling natural stone can bring. Featuring several different stone patterns, these interlocking tiles are sure to add a level of sophistication to any room. Since these tiles are an interlocking tile, installation of your new floor is a breeze. No need for grout or mastic, you can now spend less time installing your new floor and more time enjoying it. Not only is installation of your new floor simple and easy, it is also very easy to clean and maintain only needing to damp mop the floor with mild soap and water as needed. Our Stone Flex tiles have also been built to last and are backed by a 10 year warranty ensuring your new floor will last for years to come.

Luxury Vinyl tiles and planks are easy to keep clean and maintain. Maintenance of the floor typically includes:
  • Always use plywood or other boards when moving heavy objects across the floor to avoid scratching of the floor surface.
  • Use felt pads under chair and furniture legs to prevent scratching of the floor surface.
  • Place walk off door mats at all entrances and doorways to collect debris from shoes such as dirt, rocks, and moisture, from being tracked in and onto your new floors.
  • Avoid using rubber backed area rugs or floor mats as they can stain the flooring surface over time.
  • Use non-staining floor protectors underneath heavy furniture, chairs, and tables.
  • Daily or weekly vacuuming or dust mopping to remove dirt, grit, dust etc. Do not use treated dust mops.
  • When mopping, use a damp and never a wet mop.
  • Clean up spill immediately to prevent damage to the floor.

Installation of interlocking tiles is very simple and typically done by the consumer. Typical installation of these tiles is as follows:
  • First, clean your sub floor so it is free of all dirt, grease or debris.
  • Snap a chalk line on the sub floor 24” from one wall in your room. Snap another chalk line on the subfloor 24” from an adjacent wall. You should now have a pair of perpendicular lines making an approximate 90-degree angle.
  • Begin laying the interlocking tiles along the chalk lines, snapping the locks together as you go.
  • Leave the perimeter of the room open until the field is installed.
  • After the field is covered, go back and cut in lines along the walls in the room. Leaving a gap at the wall roughly the thickness of tiles being used is recommended to account for expansion and contraction of the floor tiles in varied temperature ranges.
Note: When piecing interlocking tiles together, adhesives are usually not used since the weight of the locked together product is usually enough to keep the floor tiles from moving. However, if you do experience movement and would like to ensure that the tiles do not slide at all, some double-sided tape or mat tape can be used around the perimeter of the installation to prevent any movement.

Can this be laid over carpet?
Anonymous
Our Stone Flex Tiles can be laid over commercial low pile carpet. Over high pile carpet, these tiles may separate due to compression of the carpet below.
Do you have a companion floor in wood look that would snap together with the Stone Flex, using the same locking tab pattern, to create a smooth and seamless transition from room to room? We are building an ADA accessible apartment and we must not have any raised transitions, but we want to vary the flooring styles from stone look to wood look.
Steve
Our Stone Flex Tiles can be combined with our Wood Flex Tiles to give you a stone/wood look on your floor.
Is there a urethane or other coating on top of the vinyl on the stone flex tiles?
Dorothy
Our Stone Flex Tiles have a two coat polyurethane wear layer which is five mils thick.
Do you carry the door transitions?
Tom
We do not have any door transitions for our Stone Flex Tiles. We do have rubber floor ramps that can be used at your doorway to transition from a higher floor to a lower one.
If you install this in a basement, do you need to put a vapor barrier down first? And, does the floor need to be leveled?
Anonymous
When installing our Stone Flex Tiles in a basement, a vapor barrier is not necessary. If you do have moisture issues, we would recommend sealing your concrete floor; This will keep salts, minerals, and moisture from collecting on the tiles. We do recommend that the concrete is somewhat level. If there is some minor imperfection in the concrete, in most instances the tiles will lay perfectly fine. But if there are major imperfections, they will need to be addressed before installing the flooring.

  Lake House
Self-installed in lower level living at lake home

The walk-out lower level of our newly purchased lake home had Berber carpet. As direct entry from the water and Jacuzzi - that I did not consider practical or sanitary. We did many renovations to our new place and I did much research on flooring that could be easily installed, durable and suitable for being placed on cement flooring. 20x18 room installed in a few hours. Clicking together nicely. Hardest part was cutting the rubber product which I left for my husband. All pieces (even the small cut edging) held together perfectly. It has a nice honey-combed underside to lead the cement breath and is not hard on the bare foot like tile. I love, love, love it! And it looks great too.

  BLACK MARBLE EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS
Installed in Living, Dining Room, Kitchen, Covered Porch, Foyer
C L Hart from Wichita, KS wrote...
After spending months online researching various flooring products, reading countless reviews, and visiting numerous retailers, we decided to go with the black marble stone flex tiles in our new home. So far, overall, we couldn't be happier with the ultramodern appearance, ease of installation and clean ability. Three weeks after placing our order via telephone with A.J., our 72 cases of tile arrived via truck, in stellar packaging, on pallets, for easy handling and stackability in our garage. Per instructions, we acclimated the tile to our home's temperature. The tiles installed easily, clicking together with a rubber mallet or simply by stepping on them. We have a slab home, no basement, just concrete floors. Our concrete crew did a great job of leveling, so the tile didn't need any filler prior to placement. Using a straight edge and utility knife, we creased the tile; folded it back and forth a bit; and installed it. In order to make the complicated cuts, we marked the tiles with an ink pen. Wet wipes erased all traces of the marks. One tip: the warmer the tile, the easier it cuts. The tile's warm and soft underfoot, noise absorbent and doesn't sound hollow or click clack when walked on. As for the tile's durability, only time will tell, but so far...A+ on all accounts!
