Can I buy Rule Breaker carpet tiles by the tile, or only by the case?
They are sold by the case only. A case holds 24 tiles, each 24 inches square, and covers 95.94 square feet. Each tile is 0.226 inches thick. Divide your square footage by 95.94 and round up. Add about 5% for cuts along the walls.
Was this helpful?Do Rule Breaker carpet tiles need to be glued down?
It depends on the installation. For a wall-to-wall floor, double-sided tape will hold the tiles. A polyurethane adhesive spread with a 1/16 inch V-notch trowel gives a more permanent hold. If you are only making an area rug, double-sided tape is all you need. For commercial or permanent floors, use a pressure-sensitive or acrylic adhesive. Apply it with a 1/16 inch V-notch trowel or a 3/8 inch foam paint roller.

Mohawk recommends quarter turn (also called parquet), monolithic, ashlar brick, vertical brick, and random layouts. The line comes in solid colors with matching stripes, meant to be mixed. You can run a solid field with stripe accents, or turn tiles to change the direction of the pattern.

Yes. Mohawk rates them for medium to high traffic. The fiber is 100% solution-dyed EnviroStrand PET, which means the color runs all the way through the fiber. It sits on Mohawk's Weldlok backing, which Mohawk says resists wear, unraveling, edge zippering, and delamination. The tiles have Protection Plus soil and stain resistance and are made in the USA. They are Green Label Plus certified for low emissions. Mohawk backs them with a 10-year limited warranty.

We needed an updated floor but we were trying to stay within a budget and this ended up working perfectly. We mixed the stripe with the solid tile to make a checkered pattern and it ended up looking awesome!

We are doing a church remodel and are within a budget. These are on the lower end of the commercial type tiles as far as price goes, but they look great and were at a price that we could work with. Highly recommend and will be ordering more!
