Our 2' x 6' Safety Wall Pads create a safe space in any facility to ensure athletes of all levels can push their limits and perform their best. These easy-to-clean and sanitize indoor fixed wall padding panels are antibacterial treated, antimicrobial, anti-fungal, UV treated, and resistant to mold, mildew, and rot. Expertly designed for the ultimate in impact-absorption and direct wall attachment, this style panel is a wood backed pad with 2” impact rated polyethylene foam laminated to the face using a two part adhesion process. This combination of foam and wood is wrapped front and sides and securely stapled onto the backing using Class “A” PVC Vinyl. 2' x 6' Safety Wall Pads are proudly made in the USA with durable materials, and are backed by a 5-year limited warranty. These gym wall pads are also great as protective wall padding for sensory rooms, and any other area where a safe cushioned space is desired.

Components/ Materials:

Covering: 18.5 oz. coated smooth matte vinyl. BACshield: Anti-Mildew, Anti-Fungus, Antimicrobial, Antibacterial treated, UV treated. Passes NFPA-701, CSFM-19, and ASTM E-84 Class A fire retardant compliant.

Foam Layer: 2” polyethylene foam meets standards for ASTM 2440. The test method quantifies impact in terms of g-max and Head Injury Criterion (HIC) scores. Promotes closed-loop recycling of post-industrial scrap. Contains at least 60% and up to 100% recycled pre-consumer raw material.

Backing: 7/16" Georgia Pacific Blue Ribbon® oreinted strand board (OSB), Third-party certified to the Sustainable Forestry Initiative® procurement standard, Exposure 1 bond durability. Contains no added urea formaldehyde resins.

Material: 2" Impact rated polyethylene foam encased in a Class "A" PVC vinyl with a 7/16" GP Blue Ribbon OSB.

Hardware (Z-Clip Only): Z-Clip pads will come with enough z-clip for the full width of the pad on the wall side, top and bottom. On the panel side it will come with two clips (each 1 1/2" wide) for the top and for the bottom. Each clip has two holes and a 3/4" pan head screw is supplied for anchoring to the panel.

Please Note: On the wall side the full width piece is pre-drilled for anchoring, but not supplied with hardware. This hardware should be chosen based on the substrate the wall pads will be mounted to.

Z-Clip (No Nail Margin): Z-Clip pads will come with enough z-clip for the full width of the pad on the wall side, top and bottom. On the panel side it will come with two clips (each 1 1/2" wide) for the top and for the bottom. Each clip has two holes and a 3/4" pan head screw is supplied for anchoring to the panel.

Aluminum Z-Clip mounted to wall top and bottom (as aligned with panel size and mounting height) using appropriate hardware for wall type. Opposing Z-Clip mounted to panel. Once hardware is securely fastened to wall and panel, panels can be nested into wall side Z-Clip. 4” AFF to bottom of panel.

Nail Margin: 1” Nail Margin top and bottom along width edge attached directly to wall using appropriate hardware for wall type. Refer to ASTM standards for height above finished floor. 4” AFF to bottom of foam current.

These waterproof 2' x 6' Gym Wall Pads are easy to clean, and nonporous which means that virtually no liquids can penetrate the surface of the mat. Resistant to fungus, mold, and bacteria, they can be wiped down with a damp cloth and a gentle cleaning solution to sanitize as necessary.

The attachment lip is on the bottom and the top of the mats on our 2' x 6' Wall Pads.

So there are two ways to install our wall padding, with nails or with z-clips. Nail margin essentially just means that you have to nail the wall pads to the wall. This is typically done with a 1" nail margins on top and bottom, hence the name 'nail margin,' and would be considered a permanent installation. The other way to is with z-clips. So there are two parts to a zip clip, one that attaches to the wall and one that attaches to the pad. When you hook them together, they look like a 'Z,' hence the name z-clip. This installation is a semi-permanent installation and allows you to install and remove pads as need be, easily. The z-clip option is more expensive, but the ease of installation and the flexibility it gives you could be worth the money.

Yes the Wall Pads can come with many custom options such as making room for outlets. To have custom mats built please contact our customer service team and one of our members will assist in getting your information and taking your order.

These can be attached over the top of baseboards. The wall pads show up with all of the Z-Clip hardware you need and you would simply install them like you would on any other wall, the pad will cover the baseboard or you can install them above. For walls of odd lengths we are able to make custom pads of 1' upon request, please contact our customer service team for more information!

Our Wall Pads can be mounted either with Nail Margin or Z-Clip installation methods, both of which are compatible with almost every wall-type out there. You'd only need to make sure that you choose hardware that is compatible with the substrate you are attaching the wall to, any type of rock or concrete would need anchors for that purpose such as sleeve anchors.

Wall Pad installations is usually best to secure into studs. Alternatively you would want to mount them with hardware that is sufficient to anchor into drywall. Since Wall Padding is generally not used as a support, only a pad, the anchoring system does not need to be weight bearing.
