Description - Finally, one of our most popular low cost rubber floors is now available in custom cut sizing. Our Eco-Flec rolls are the perfect shock absorbing rubber flooring option for any home or commercial gym. These rolls are 4' wide and can be ordered in any whole foot increment about 15'. These rubber rolls are backed by a 5-year warranty.
Material – Reground rubber that is made from post industrial recycled rubber.
Width – 4 feet.
Length – The rolls are custom cut to your desired length free of charge provided that each roll length is 15’ long or longer and in whole foot increments such as 15’, 16’, 17’, etc. You will normally receive an extra few inches on each roll. This allows for a quick and easy installation.
Color – Available in Natural and Confetti. (Note: this flooring is made from the post industrial recycled rubber that is naturally made during the production of our standard rubber flooring products. Due to this, color density and variation can exist in the flooring depending on what kind of colors and products we are running on any given day. Some very small amounts of random color flecks may also be present.)
Weight - See below:
  • 1/8" thick rolls = 0.65 Lbs. per square foot.
  • 1/4" thick rolls = 1.27 Lbs. per square foot.
  • 8mm thick rolls = 1.70 Lbs. per square foot.
  • 3/8" thick rolls = 1.92 Lbs. per square foot.
  • 1/2" thick rolls = 2.58 Lbs. per square foot.
Recommended Uses – Our Eco-Flec Rolls are great for any home or commercial gym and are commonly used as flooring in basements, as fitness flooring, as underlayment, as flooring in walkways, and anywhere a non-slip flooring option is desired. Rubber underlayment can stain some vinyl flooring and linoleum over time. When using with dance floor rolls we recommend choosing black dance rolls.

Available For Order - Ships between Apr 3 - 11

Eco-Flec flooring is easy to keep clean and maintain. Maintenance of this recycled rubber flooring surface typically includes:
  • Vacuuming any loose dust, dirt, or debris from the floor surface when necessary.
  • Occasional damp mopping of the rolled rubber with a mild soap and water mixture. Some soaps commonly used include Dawn dish detergent and/or Tide laundry detergent.
Note: Do not use any solvent or oil style cleaners such as Pinesol, Lysol, Murphy’s Oil Soap, WD40, paint thinner, etc. since these types of cleaners will break down the flooring over time.

When installing rolled rubber flooring to prevent the rolls from moving around or sliding apart. The most common methods of adhering rubber rolls to the subfloor are:

A: Double-Sided Tape Installation
  1. Clean the subfloor to remove dust, dirt, and debris.
  2. Loose lay the rolls in the room and let them relax for 24-48 hours.
  3. Note: Ensure roll colors match and make necessary cuts to fit the room. Leave a gap roughly the thickness of the rolls for expansion and contraction.
  4. Roll up the rolls at one end of the room and apply double-sided tape to the floor along the perimeter of each roll.
  5. Place the rubber rolls back into position on top of the double-sided tape.

B: Glue Installation
  1. Clean the subfloor and ensure it is free of any moisture.
  2. Loose lay the rolls in the room and let them relax for 24-48 hours.
  3. Note: Ensure roll colors match and make necessary cuts to fit the room. Leave a gap roughly the thickness of the rolls for expansion and contraction.
  4. Roll up the rolls at one end of the room and spread a light layer of polyurethane adhesive that is 10’ long (maximum) and unroll the flooring into the adhesive 10’ at a time.
  5. Repeat this step for every 10’ of roll length until the entire roll has been unrolled into its desired position.
  6. After all rolls have been glued down, use a 100-pound roller on the floor to ensure good adherence to the subfloor. Walking on the flooring in small choppy steps may also work if a roller is not available.

Don't see what you're looking for?
Are any of these options suitable to be left outside in the elements? I’m in SoCal and would be more concerned about extreme heat more than water exposure.
Our Eco-Flec Roll are made from recycled tires and would be able to withstand the elements just like your tires would. The only thing that you will notice is that these rolls will fade over time when placed in direct sunlight.
Is the Eco-Flec or Regrind rubber flooring vulcanized?
rick
Our Eco-Flec and Regrind Rubber Rolls are not vulcanized.
Are you able to put an underlayment for additional padding under the rubber floor?
You can add and underlayment under our rubber flooring for more padding. Our Eco-Flec Rolls are made to the same specifications as standard rubber underlayment, so you wouldn't need to add one, but if you wanted to, you definitely could.
How long does it take for the rubber smell to dissipate?
Allison
Our Eco-Flec Rolls do have a rubber smell to them, which will dissipate over time. There is no hard, fast rule as to how quickly this will go away. If you are sensitive to the smell, we do recommend mopping our rubber flooring with a mild soap and water solution and allowing the flooring to air dry. You will want to make sure the space where the flooring is being installed is well ventilated. One note, you may have to repeat this cleaning process a few times to help dissipate the smell.
I'm looking to use this as flooring for a 10x10' trade show booth. Does it need to be glued down to stay in place?
Chelsea
You don't have to glue our Eco-Flec Rolls to keep them in place. For use as a trade show floor, we would recommend just using some double-sided tape around the perimeter of each roll and down the seam. Then once you are finished, you can remove the tape and roll the rubber flooring so you can use it at your next trade show.
Can the Eco-Flec rubber rolls be laid over existing carpet? Actually, I am sure they can, but is it advisable?
Jeff
Our Eco-Flec Rolls can be installed easily over low pile commercial grade carpet. We don't recommend installing the rolls over plush, thick padded residential carpet as there could be separation of the rolls when walked over due to depression of the pad underneath. This depression can result in creating a trip hazard. If you do have plush, thick padded carpet, there is a solution to install our rubber flooring over it. You can place a 1/4" thick plywood board over the carpet and then the rubber flooring over it.
I have a very large garage 24'x36'. We use it mostly for fun with home gym equipment and a ping pong table. However, we also like to park our small electric car every night to charge. It's electric, so no oil leaks, and it weighs about 4K. Would it be OK to use 1/8", or do I need something else?
When installing our 1/8" and 1/4" Eco-Flec rubber rolls, we recommend gluing them down. That is the only way to ensure they stay in place.
Does any black color transfer off onto feet or socks?
Our Eco-Flec Rolls are not as tightly bound as our standard rubber flooring, so there is potential for some of the rubber crumbs to transfer to your socks when used. You can prevent this by using our Rubber Floor Finish and Sealer.
What if you were to park a car on it once and awhile? Does it Leave impressions? Is it not made for parking a car on in your garage?
If you park a car on our Eco-Flec Rolls it will not leave impressions on the floor. Since the size of the tire helps to distribute the weight over a larger surface area, the chance of creating impressions in the floor is very low.
How easy is it to cut the 1/4" thick Eco-Flec rolls?
Our Eco-Flec Rolls are pretty easy to cut with a sharp utility knife and a straight edge. For the 3/8" and 1/2" rolls, a few cuts may need to be made to get through the rolls.
Are the rubber rolls waterproof (i.e., will water flow through to the floor underneath)?
Douglas A Wright
Our Eco-Flec Rolls are not waterproof, but they are water-resistant.
Can this mat be folded up accordion-style daily, or would that significantly shorten the lifespan of the mat?
Maria
Our Eco-Flec Rolls can be rolled up and rolled out regularly without damaging the roll or shortening the rubber rolls' lifespan.
What is the R-value of the flooring? Does it provide any insulation?
Peter
Our Eco-Flec Rolls are made from recycled rubber. Recycled rubber has a typical R-value of 1.100. Our Eco-Flec Rolls will provide some insulation.
Is it possible to seal the seams so liquid doesn't get trapped in between or under the rubber?
Kimberly McRae
You can seal the seams of our Eco-Flec Rolls with our Seam Sealer glue. This glue helps to make your flooring water resistant. Depending on how the seam sealer glue is installed, there is still potential for water and other liquids to slip through the seam. You can also use our Rubber Floor Finish and Sealer in conjunction with our Seam Sealer glue to further make your rubber flooring water resistant.
Is it possible to pass with a Pallet Jack over it easily or will it get stuck?
Tony Abreu
You can use a pallet jack over our Eco-Flec Rolls easily. These rubber rolls are just a little less dense than our standard rubber flooring but are still hard enough to allow things to roll over them easily without being damaged.
Can the rubber rolls (not permanently attached to the floor) be used in pole building under carpeting?
Pat
You can install our Eco-Flec Rolls under carpet as underlay. Our Eco-Flec Rubber Rolls are less dense than our standard rubber flooring and would provide excellent absorption underfoot.
Which flooring would be good to use in a kennel? The dogs and puppies would be on it all day when they are in there.
Julie
Our Eco-Flec Rolls can be used as flooring in dog kennels or doggy daycares. To make these rolls appropriate for dog kennels and doggy daycares, we recommend sealing the flooring with our Rubber Floor Finish and Sealer and to seal the seams with our Seam Sealer glue. This will ensure that any urine does not get trapped in the floor. To clean the flooring after the sealer has been applied, we recommend mopping the floor with a mild soap and water solution.
How does it hold up to having couches and chairs on it for extended periods? Will they leave divots which will not come out? Also, how well do rolling chairs work on the 1/4" rubber rolls?
Mike
Chairs and couches won't leave any indentations in our Eco-Flec Rolls. These rubber rolls are denser than carpet and will not show any indentations. Rolling chairs work the best on our rubber flooring as the coefficient of friction is very high. This means that things are harder to slide across rubber compared to say carpet. You can use regular chairs on our rubber rolls, but we would suggest picking the chair up when moving it.
For the 1/2 inch thick rolls, is there a border available to gradual taper to floor level, to prevent anyone from tripping over an edge?
Michelle
We do have a Rubber Floor Ramp for our 1/2" rubber. The name of the product is called 1/2" Rubber Floor Ramp.
What if a 1/4" Eco-Flec roll installation gets wet in a basement? Does it have to be lifted to dry thoroughly, or can it be air-dried in place with fans/dehumidifiers?
Matt
If our Eco-Flec Rolls were to get wet, you don't necessarily have to remove them to dry. Our rubber flooring is somewhat porous, so water can get under the rolls. If you are concerned that it had, you will want to remove the rolls to allow the subfloor to dry properly. If only a small amount of water were to fall on the floor, then letting the water evaporate over time is sufficient.
What is the weight for a 15' - 1/8" roll? I am looking to purchase 3-5. Also, how difficult to roll up seasonally? I would use this in winter in an interior cold floor (barn) space.
Joseph
A 15' long roll of our 1/8" Eco-Flec is approximately 39 pounds. You can easily roll up and roll out our Eco-Flec Rolls. Our 1/8" roll is pretty thin, so it will offer some thermal properties but we would suggest a thicker roll to insulate properly and to be able to withstand daily use.
I’m looking for a gym floor that my daughter an also do her dance/ballet on, so she needs to be able to spin. This floor was listed under both gym and dance, so would this work for that?
Our Eco Flec rubber flooring is not the proper floor for practicing ballet. For ballet, you will need a certain amount of slip, and rubber flooring is known as one of the best non-slip floors on the market. If you wanted a great multiuse floor that is great for working out on and for ballet, we recommend purchasing our Impact Rolls - Wood Series. This floor combines the properties of a rubber floor with a vinyl top that will allow for the proper amount of slip needed for practicing ballet.
Can your Eco-Flec Rolls be used behind a bar at a restaurant?
Shawn
Our Eco-Flec Rolls can and have been used behind bars at restaurants. If you want to use any of our rubber flooring in these types of applications, we recommend sealing the floor with our Rubber Floor Finish and Sealer. This will ensure that no organic material will get stuck in the tiny pores in the floor and will make cleaning and maintaining the flooring a breeze. Depending on the area's activity, you may have to reseal the floor a few times a year.

  Riley's training room
Installed in Basement dog training room.
Riley and Phyllis from Albany, NY wrote...
I love this floor. It is skid-proof without being ″sticky″, and provides all the cushioning I hoped for so that my dog can jump without injuring himself. And the total price for my whole order (1000 sq. ft) was less than the shipping alone for another product I looked into. The folks in Customer Service were extremely helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. The delivery was great. They called to schedule the delivery, and called again when they were almost here. All in all, a great product and an excellent shopping experience.

  Great gym flooring
Self-installed in Home Gym
Anonymous from Tacoma Wa wrote...
Bought the 3/8' eco flooring for my home gym I am creating. It was delivered quickly within a week of purchasing the rolls. They were slightly heavy (about 200#) each roughly so moving them was a little difficult by myself. Installation was easily done by myself, I used construction glue to tack down the ends and points on the sides; however it wasn't necessary for my needs since they were not moving once I installed them. The ends are not truly squared, and it took a little effort to ensure the edges were in contact with each other to give that seamless look, again for my use as a gym floor these are not issues. I am very happy with this product

Called to inquire on the 1/8″ but the Customer Service Rep was able to get me 1/4″ for a few dollars more all because she knew what was cheaper for shipping. She was extremely friendly and followed through with everything she said she would. I would highly recommend them for flooring needs. The flooring fit together perfectly and is a great product.
