Is 3/4" rubber thick enough for dropped weights and Olympic lifting?
Yes. 3/4" is the thickest custom-cut rubber roll we make, and it is built for dropped barbells and plates. The dense rubber absorbs the impact, cuts the noise, and resists dents from racks and machines. It is the thickness we recommend for powerlifting, Olympic lifting, Strongman, and CrossFit. Thinner rolls are fine for cardio and light dumbbell work.

The rolls are 4 feet wide and sold by the linear foot. The minimum cut is 15 linear feet, which covers 60 square feet. One roll runs up to 50 linear feet. A longer run ships as two or more rolls, so plan for a seam.
Was this helpful? How heavy are the 3/4" rolls?
A 4-foot-wide 3/4" roll weighs about 16 pounds per linear foot, or about 4 pounds per square foot. The 15-foot minimum cut weighs roughly 240 pounds. A full 50-foot roll weighs about 800 pounds. Plan on two or more people and a clear path from the truck to the room.
Was this helpful? Can I use these rolls as horse stall mats or dog kennel flooring?
Yes. The 3/4" rolls are used as stall mats in barns and stables and as kennel flooring. The thickness gives animals a cushioned surface that is easy to rinse and sweep. The rubber resists mold and mildew, so damp barn air is not a problem. Cut the rolls to the stall size with a straight edge and a fresh utility knife blade.
Was this helpful?Do 3/4" rubber rolls have to be glued down?
No. Most installs use double-sided tape around the perimeter of each roll. Polyurethane adhesive, spread in 10-foot sections, is for permanent installs. Either way, lay the rolls out loosely and let them relax for 24 to 48 hours. Cut with a straight edge and a fresh utility knife blade. Leave a gap of about 3/4" around the room so the rubber can expand. If you glue, roll the floor with a 100-pound roller for a good bond.
Was this helpful? Why do some colors ship in 1 to 3 days and others take 5 to 10?
Quick-ship colors are cut and stocked ahead, so they leave in 1 to 3 business days. Every other color is cut to your length after you order, which takes 5 to 10 business days. Color also decides the warehouse, so your rolls ship from our Northeast or South location. Orders over 1,000 square feet can need extra processing time before they ship.
