How much does one box of VersaRUBBER ELITE planks cover?
Each box holds 8 planks and covers 25.6 square feet. Each plank is 4 feet long, 9.6 inches wide, and 1/4 inch (6 mm) thick. That is 3.2 square feet per plank. Planks are sold by the box, and one box is the minimum order. A full box weighs about 48 lbs.
Was this helpful?Do VersaRUBBER ELITE planks have to be glued down?
Yes. These planks are a glue-down floor, set in the polyurethane adhesive the manufacturer recommends. Order the adhesive with the planks so the right one arrives with them. Let the planks and adhesive sit in the room at 65 to 77F for 24 hours first. Dry-fit the layout before you spread any adhesive. Painter's tape holds the seams tight while the adhesive sets, and comes off after 24 hours.
Was this helpful?Do VersaRUBBER ELITE planks have to be laid in a certain direction?
Yes. Every plank has an arrow on the back, and all the arrows should point the same way. The planks are also numbered and should be laid in number order. That keeps the wood-grain print looking natural across the floor. You can set them in a brick or staggered pattern.
Was this helpful? Can VersaRUBBER ELITE planks be used outdoors?
No, these are indoor planks. They are built for high-traffic commercial rooms such as gyms, studios, hospitals, schools, offices, and retail. The surface is non-porous, so it also suits locker rooms, daycares, and other spaces where moisture and odor are a concern. They work in home gyms and basements too.
Was this helpful? What is the warranty on VersaRUBBER ELITE planks?
The planks carry a 10-year warranty. They use a two-layer rubber construction, vulcanized twice, to resist wear, dents, and heavy traffic.
Was this helpful? How do I clean VersaRUBBER ELITE planks?
Sweep, vacuum, or sponge mop for everyday cleaning. For a deeper clean, use a neutral pH cleaner and degreaser with a sponge mop and water. Never use petroleum-based products on vulcanized rubber, including solvents, adhesives, or sealants.
