I would like to install your flex tiles on a commercial carpet. Will the tiles not separate? Can children dance on it without the tiles moving?
Our Smooth Flex Tiles can be installed over a commercial carpet without the tiles separating. Children will be able to dance on the tiles without them moving. If for some reason the tiles did move, you can add some double sided tape underneath the floor to keep it in place.
Was this helpful?I have a 4 1/2 car garage measuring about 24' x 47'. Is there any type of "Tee-Mold" accessory piece available that can be installed at midpoint or third points to take up expansion / contraction? If not, do you have any suggestions?
There are no expansion joints available for our Smooth Flex Tiles. We just recommend leaving a 1/2" expansion joint where the floor meets the walls.

You can install our Smooth Flex Tiles over a wood deck outside in a screened in porch. There are a few things you may notice with having these tiles in this environment. These tiles will expand and contract if this space is not temperature controlled. We recommend installing the flooring with a 1/2" wide expansion gap around the flooring. The next thing you will notice is that if the tiles are exposed to direct sunlight, they will fade. To help mitigate this, we recommend placing mats in the areas that get the most sunlight. Cleaning of these tiles is very easy. Simply sweep any large dirt and debris and then mop the tiles with a mild soap and water solution.
Was this helpful?For the smooth flex tiles, if I select "Black" will it be sent to produce black and white checkerboard? OR to get a black and white checkerboard will I need to buy two boxes, one black and one white? Thanks!
You would need to purchase one of each color to get the checkerboard. Each color is sold individually in a case.

Yes the tiles do offer slip resistance but they are not slip proof. We have had several customers use these tiles in laundry rooms with great success.
Was this helpful?Are these tiles durable enough to park a 35,000lb RV on for long periods?
Flex Tiles can withstand heavy loads. The only issue you may run into is that it may create some permanent indentations in the floor due to the heavy weight being so focused over along period of time.

We would not recommend that as the product is already smooth / slick and adding further elements in a commercial environment may compromise employee safety.

These tiles do not support combustion and they achieve a Class 1 spread of flame when tested.
Was this helpful?I am making a home gym in a basement and want a mold and mildew resistant flooring as well as the best grip/ absorption flooring you guys have. Would this flooring be what you recommend? Or is there another PVC flooring better for absorption/ grip?
Our Smooth Flex Tiles can definitely be used in a home gym application and will provide good grip and some absorption. If you need heavy duty absorption, we'd recommend going with one of our rubber products. Otherwise, for an attractive floor that will be easy to clean, mold/mildew resistant, and provide absorption our Smooth Flex Tiles are a good way to go!
Was this helpful?Are the tiles shock absorbing and will they deaden sound transmission to a floor below if laid over a concrete floor slab.
The tiles will add minimal absorption and will lessen but not deaden any sound transmission.
Was this helpful?How easy are the Smooth Flex Tiles to cut to shape around any mouldings in the walls? Do you need a special knife/cutter or will a normal box-cutter be ok?
These tiles can be cut with a sharp utility knife with multiple careful scores.
Was this helpful?What size are the red/white tiles? Is each tile both red/white or are they separate tiles of the two colors?
The full tiles are 20" x 20", with each small square of color being 10" x 10". One tile has both colors.

Eggshell in our Smooth Flex Tiles is more cream in color than white. To get a true sense of color, we recommend ordering a sample.
Was this helpful?I like to wash my cars in my garage which has a center drain. Will I be able to continue to do so without any leakage throughout the tiles?
You can wash your car in your garage with our Smooth Flex Tiles installed. If you would like to keep your drain free and clear so that water can still drain into it, we would recommend cutting the tiles around the drain to allow for water to properly drain. If you do have a slope to your garage, water will floor over top of the floor out of your garage to the driveway.
Was this helpful?We are interested in a tile floor in our bathroom with an open shower. Can these tiles be used on a shower floor?
This product has not been tested for this use. It is usually recommended for flooring in dry areas.
