Our Premium Plus Home Dance Subfloor Kit is the perfect subfloor solution to support any Marley dance flooring. A thicker version of our Premium Home Dance Subfloor Kit, this two part system comes with our 3/4" home dance subfloor tiles as well as durable and firm 3/8" athletic plastic tiles for a sturdy surface finish. Our Premium Plus system simply interlocks together within each layer, requiring no messy glue. You can be easily install, uninstall, and move this layered dance subfloor anywhere.
This Premium Plus Home Dance Subfloor Kit provides ample cushioning underfoot, with a sturdy dance floor foundation that is firm but not too hard. This professional grade and portable subfloor option is great for use in the home or traveling studio, and can be used with many dance styles including ballet (pointe), jazz, modern, and tap (with VersaStep Professional Dance Floor Rolls). Premium Plus Home Dance Subfloor Kit is perfect for all skill-levels providing the shock absorbing and durable floor that every dancer needs. Marley rolls sold separately.

Installation
- First you will want to clean your main sub floor so that it is free of all dust, dirt, and debris.
- Install the subfloor tiles by interlocking them together to form a rectangle space upon which your Marley dance floor will go.
- The plastic tiles will be installed directly on top of the foam tiles, requiring no additional adhesive or tape to keep them in place. Starting in one corner, place the tiles and interlock them into one another with the loop sides of the tiles facing out. Tiles can be interlocked with a little added force of the hand or with the foot.
- To keep your Marley dance roll in place, allow for approximately 1" gap between the edge of the plastic tile and your dance flooring roll. Tape down the perimeter of your dance floor roll directly to the plastic subfloor tiles using Mat Tape. This will create a flat surface and you will be able to see the edges of your subfloor tiles.
- If you would like to cut the loops off of the plastic tiles, you can use a plastic tile cutter.
- If going into a wall to wall installation, tiles will need to be cut to fit to your space, allowing for perimeter expansion and contraction. Tiles can be cut using a plastic tile cutter.

Can I use this for Zumba? Can I use the hard tiles on top without replacing them with a Marley floor?
The hard tiles work great for Zumba and do not require a marley floor to be placed over them.

If you have possible subfloor moisture issues or if this is meant to be a long term installation, yes that would be recommended.

Was this helpful?I would like to cut the tabs off of the top plastic portion of the subfloor. How can I do that?
You may cut the loops off using a plastic tile cutter. You may also purchase edging from our Nitro Tiles (they will work with the plastic tile portion and add a safe transition.

I was very very very excited to purchase this floor. Reviews were great and I take those with a grain of salt, but they seemed to match up with the flooring and instructions so I jumped in! I called in to place the order and I told them my room was 21x21. The gave me a 19x19 set and a 3x3 set. I objected and said that wasn’t enough but the flooring specialist insisted it was and I thought maybe I was the one having a brain fart. So that’s what I purchased. As I scheduled all the people to come in and make the room ready to install, I finally got down to business installing the flooring. I’m short 16-18 pieces of the foam underlayment and about 70 of the hard tiles. So I’m not super happy. I assume if you work for a flooring company, you’d know how to manage square footage at the very least. I will say she was super pleasant and easy to work with. Also I understand there is some room of error on thickness but flooring isn’t one of those places because pressure is placed on it day in and out. The foam underlayment had huge thickness errors; meaning you would have a bunch of tiles that were smooth to the touch at the seams and then one that would be a 1/4” taller than the others. That doesn’t seem like much but for flooring it sticks out like a sore thumb. It’s a dance floor, so unless you’re not moving your feet, and only your hips then that quarter inch toe stopper doesn’t apply to you. I saved all of those for the edges hoping it won’t matter too much. (Wasn’t my base flooring as I was able to sub in other prices to be flush). The hard tiles are 1/4 of the size of the foam and contrary to what they say, you will not dance on this floor without Marley. There’s a million seams and they shift, so again, if you’re only moving your hips and not your feet, the seams won’t apply to you. Also, per instructions, “your hand or feet will snap these into place.” Save your hands and your dancing feet and grab a rubber mallet. So besides the fact that I now have to wait on a new shipment and purchase Marley (I planned on Marley to begin with, but waited bc “you can dance without the Marley on this floor”) it is easy to install. I did need tin snips and a flooring cutter, a knife for the foam to cut and if you’re extra, grab some spacers for the edges.

The Premium Plus Home Dance Subfloor Kit is so easy to install. It only took me and my daughter 2 nights to finish our whole Living room (20' x 17'). Yes, we turned our living room into a dance room! It is so beautiful!
