These tiles adhere best on a smooth surface, but minimal texture should be fine. You may also experience telegraphing of a textured concrete surface through the carpet tiles.
Was this helpful? Are these carpet tiles anti-static?
These tiles have not undergone static testing at this time.
Was this helpful?Thickness? Can or should I put down a pad? Which pad?
These tiles are approximately 1/4" thick. For best results, we recommend installing them directly to your clean and level subfloor, as traditional carpet padding can prevent the tiles from laying flat. If additional cushion is desired, a rubber underlayment can be effective and will not impact installation.
